Skin mets

edited June 2014 in Just Diagnosed With a Recurrence or Metastasis

I am not seeing much about skin metastasis.  Biopsy 2 weeks ago shows the reddish lumps are lobular BC. Internet search yields some pretty discouraging information.

Has anyone else had this as the first dx of recurrence?

    ktcloud - sorry for your mets dx. I do not have skin mets nor do I know anything about lobular BC. I am sure that there are others here somewhere that can offer you some guidance.

    Hi ktcloud,

    I was diagnosed with a skin met after my mast. surgery. It was diagnosed after a punch biopsy. I started my chemo txs and was able to watch the skin met disappear. It allowed me to see the chemo actually working. I had radiation to the area as well after chemo.  No recurrence!

    Thanks Lexi and Barsco.  I have always said I'd not do chemo, but I may consider it this time. I can't have more radiation.
