Penny -- LOL (that her scans look 29)
Jenn -- wow I didn't realize the wedding was so soon! How exciting! Is the ceremony going to be in NOLA?
-
Hi ladies! I've been away from the board for so long I delayed coming back until I had time to read all the posts.
I'm so sorry about the mets, Jenn. WBR is no picnic from what I've read. Sounds like you kept your good spirits, though. You are an inspiration! The next couple of weeks will be busy with the wedding. Enjoy them!
Congrats to your mom, Penny.
Hate the brag ladies, but the weather is marvelous in So California. High to reach 77 tomorrow. Come visit!

Jenn - I hope the wedding this weekend is fabulous!

Hello dear ladies.....I have been off the boards since December. (Long story)
Think of you all often.
Jenn, do post and let us know how that wedding went. Would love to see a few photos, too!
Take care everyone

Hi navy and everyone else. Jenn, hope the wedding went well and you all had a wonderful time. Look forward to hearing about it.
-
Yes Jenn please let us know how it went.
-
The wedding was beautiful, as was my "baby" the bride and her handsome groom. Everything just flowed, which was wonderful!!!
The brain mets has made me weaker, dizzy and causing a few issues, luckily most of the problems held out until after the wedding. The hardest part is going from being so independent to being somewhat or lets face it, dependent. I need assistance when walking a wheelchair when I go out, it's too hard to walk far without getting dizzy or weak. But........all I can do is take it one day at a time and not let it get me too down. I am on steroids right now, so I have little (or big) budda cheeks that get bright red. Imagine how that must look.
(((hugs)))thanks for checking on me. Jenn
-
Jenn-- Glad to hear your daughters wedding was beautiful. My thoughts are with you while going threw this time with the dizzness. Know that I think about you often. We are getting a early spring up here in NY and we had a very weak winter for once. I hope you get out and enjoy the new season. keep in touch

Aw that is so lovely to hear about your Daughter's wedding... so glad it was a happy occasion for all.
Sorry to hear about the dizziness and the other side effects. LOVE your attitude though! I hope and pray that the treatment your getting now will turn things around for you and keep you going for many years to come!
Sending love and hugs.
-
So good to see you posting on this little corner of BCO, Jenn. Hang on to that great attitude of yours.
Waving hello to everyone! Spring is coming!
-
Glad to hear things went well at the wedding Jenn. Hoping things improve with your health and meds can get the mets stable.
-
The wedding sounds delightful...how much did you cry Jenn? Be honest now! I am such a sap about weddings that sometimes I tear up when the models in wedding dresses start walking down our fashion show stage. How stupid is that? HA!

Hi Penny! Nice to hear from you. Glad to hear that your Mom is doing well.
Waving hello to all of the August Amazon gals!
-
Waving hello as well!
-
hi to everyone!
-
I've been terrible about checking in, I am so sorry.
I'm doing okay, still here. I am getting weaker, my muscles are restless in a weird way hard to describe. I often think how will I know it's over? I'm still getting around, like tonight I went to Toys R Us for birthday gifts, but had to use the walker and go really slow because I lose my balance so easily. DH is very patient and would have done the errand but I wanted out of the house. My body is so bloated I hardly know who I am when I look in the mirror. My neck and face are huge. I went to the ENT this week and had tubes put in my ears to relieve the pressure so that I could hear again - it was wonderful. He said I'm so swollen that in my sinus cavities that they couldn't drain. Oh...........I'm ranting sorry about that.
Talk to y'all later, Jenn
-
Aw Jenn -- sending you the biggest possible hugs.
-
Jenn - feel free to rant or vent or whatever. We'll listen!
-
Rant away, Jenn. We can take it! Glad you can hear again, too!!
-
Jenn - I checked in today because I had dream about you. I remember no details but I woke up thinking about you. Hang in there! Best thoughts and prayers are winging your way.
Patty -
Hi Patty.

First, let me say thank you so very much for you thoughts, prayers, cards and more. I so much appreciate it and if anybody understands this horrible disease its us. I know I've been out of touch for a while only posting a comment here or there, but it's starting to get harder and harder to stay awake and/or be alert enough to make sense at times. It seems I go in cycles where I feel terrible, weak, fatigued, etc., then I wake up one morning full of energy feeling like me again. Of course use my enegy to it's fullest for a few days (which I know I shouldn't) and get tired and weak again.
We can laugh at my DH and DD's though because when I get the cards they inevidibly ask who is sending cards from these other states that we don't know anyone? And.............I have to tell them AGAIN after all these years I haven't been talking to the computer/cyber space I actually have "cyber" friends on the other end. Real people - I still don't know if they get it, but i have instructed them to communicate here if necessary. Family!
I'll try harder to keep in touch better and love y'all for keeping up with me - thank you - thank you - thank you. Hopefully the weather is good to enjoy, if not a good book, magazine or movie will make up for it and have a great weekend. (((HUGS))) Jenn
-
Awww, Jenn. No need to worry about not posting much. Use that energy for something enjoyable. We're here for ya! Keep on, keepin on.
Thank goodness for cyber friends......Don't know what i would do without all the galls on this board. I know my DH doesn't fully understand it either.
Waving hello to all the August Amazons!!
-
Jenn - it's good to hear from you. Just pop in whenever you can, and enjoy those days when you feel full of energy.
-
Jenn -- we love you and wish you the best! And of course we understand... check in when you can! (And that is so cute that your family doesn't get that we are real!)
Hope the sun is shining on your garden and on your lovely self.
-
Jenn - I like the fact your family thinks you have a bunch of imaginary cyber friends. Focus your energy on what makes you happy! We're always here if you need us.
Patty
-
Well said Patty. I wish there was a "like" button!
-
Thank you for the support. I think they are finally realizing that I have "real" people that I talk to.
My flowers are looking wonderful - DH did great with the garden and I couldn't have asked for a better mothers day gift. The girls planted vegetables and they are looking GREAT. I can't wait!
Have a great week and again, thank you for the suppot. Jenn
