Where to get radiation?

Options

I am curious about any thoughts about where to have radiation therapy?  I am in Washington D.C . area and am trying to decide between Sibley Memorial and Johns Hopkins Greens Spring Station--Johns Hopkins is about an hour away --that would be 2 hours each day going and coming--Sibley is much closer....does it matter in terms of equipment or technicians? What does one look for in deciding where to have radiation?  I like both radiation oncologists I met at both places....need to decide asap as I am already 7 weeks after surgery--had to wait for oncotype test that took way too long!! Decided against chemo at last.

Are you having external radiation or internal radiation? I had the SAVI internal 5 day radiation, so I can help you with that if it's the route you are going. If you're doing external hopefully someone who did that can help you out!

I am in a similar situation, although in the western suburbs of Chicago ER+/PR+, HER-; stage 1, Grade 2, no nodes, IDC.  I need to decide whether or not to have th Onco test but have decided no chemo regardless of the test result.  I am also trying to determine how to assess where to have radiation and need to decide in the next week or two , whether or not to take Femara as suggested and where to get advice on nutritional support during all this . . . so many decisions to make so quickly.  Of course it takes less energy to just follow regular medical advice, but will I regret that in the long run?  Any comments are appreciated.
