Hi,

IF your immune system is weak, ask your oncologist which precautions you have to take (for food preparation and other precautions ). This is important in order to avoid infections. Furthermore I don't know what is the best way of cooking in order to kill bacterias and preserve the anticancer properties of the food.

If your imune system is not weak, I read the situation is different. I read some vegetables have more anticancer properties if consumed raw, other cooked (but we have to choose the best way of cooking in order to have the most  anticancer properties of the food) and some other both cooked and raw. But I am not a specialist.

I am hoping that I will discipline myself to proper diet and exercise. I will be more careful about washing fruits and veggies from now on.

I read that if your immune system is weak you even have to avoid raw fruits and vegetables (even if washed and peeled) and cook everyting.

But ask your medical team anyway

    Hi Alain, thanks !

I've also read that steaming is highly recommended both for killing bacteria and to preserve nutrients and that raw food is hard on the spleen.  Actually, very lightly cooking food releases loads of vits and minerals which otherwise remain locked and not absorbed

In one of my last message I wrote that we have to peel fruits and vegetables. Well maybe it mas not right. I think it depends on the situation. If our immune system is weak we have to cook them anyway (1), so

I am not sure that peeling will be useful. But anyway if your immune system is weak or not, it depends on many things.

The skin contains interesting nutriments but can also contain pesticids. So it depends if they contains pesticids or not according to the kinf of agriculture.I also read that if we must peel, we have to do thin peels to loose less nutriments.

But Fruits and vegetables are healthy and it's good to eat them (but ask your medical team which ones are good in your situation) . I alse read that fruits and vegetables form organic agriculture contains 40% more nutriments and usually much less pesticids. Furthermore they cost only 10% more, what is a really small difference. (only 3 dollars a week). After that if you really can't afford organic fruits and veggies I read that some of them really have few pesticids, even if thex come from classical agriculture (onions, brocollis, and so on) but thex have 40% less nutriments and the difference of price is small.

Anyway this is not a medical advise , just informations I read and we have to ask our medical team .

    Have a nice day
