Thank you for this thread, I spent some time singing some of my grandmother's favorite songs. Love pink flowers the most.
-
Those are very pretty, Essa. Glad you've joined us.
-
Hi Essa!!! I'm here too!!!
-
I appreciate your prayer support as I go into surgery today to remove my tissue expander for a implant. I'll stay over tonight and hopefully all is well and be home tomorrow afternoon. One more step to the finish line.

Ok gardners! Need prayer. My mom apparently had a pain in her side, up under her ribs, about 2 weeks ago that was so bad she almost called me to take her to ER, but didn't. And then of course didn't bother to tell me either until this last Saturday. She'd had a doc appointment on Thurs (the 15th), told the doc about the pain, he probed around a bit, sent her radiology, had an x-ray, shadow seen, scheduled for CT scan yesterday & today I'm going with her to an appointment at 4PM for results. She was called this AM with the appointment; we're thinking it's not going to be very good news, but we don't really have an inkling as to what it might be other than lung cancer (she's a former smoker for porbably close to 45 yrs but has been smoke free since 94 ish.) anyway, her name is Sandy and I love her dearly. Please lift her high, high, high!
-
Joni, which side? My Dad had lung cancer on his right side and as the heart isn't as involved on the right side he was able to get pretty aggressive treatment. Your Mom is in my prayers.

For Joni's Mom ♥ -
Prayers going up for Sandy.
Dear Heavenly Father please be with Joni and her Mother. You know the fear they are facing and may you make yourself known to them that they migh seek comfort in you. We thank you for cautious doctors and wise medical teams and we pray that they will find answers to questions and solutions to Sandy's health issues.
In Your precious name we pray,
Amen
-
Thanks ladies, it's not good! She is scheduled for a liver biopsy on 3-28 w/results to be given on 4-2 (see my signature line); It appears that she has lung cancer(left side) that has invaded the thoracic aorta & has mets to her liver. Keep praying please.
-
So very sorry. We are here for you and interceeding in prayer.
-
Dear God, please hold Joni and Sandy, and those they love, closely to Your heart as they go through this trial together. We, her sisters, implore You to give them strength and faith as they meet this demon head on. This, we ask, in Jesus' name.
Amen
-
Thank you.

My mother called this morning. Her auntie had taken a turn for the worse and was taken back to the hospital by ambulance this morning. It appeared tat the end was eminent but by noon they had rehydrated her and she was in control of her faculties. She told her shildren to go ahead and make arrangements for long term care.
I don't know if this is just a rally before the end, or not, but please pray that they can get her a private room at the facility they are looking into. She is a stong willed 98.5 year old and a not in state of mind to accept a room mate.
We had made special plans to spend next weeked with mother and dad, but if auntie goes, it will have to be foregone. My birthday is tomorrow and as selfish as it sounds, I hope she can pull through just one more day. Her sister, my grandmother, passed on my oldest son's second b-day. I don;t need my mother associating my b-day with another loss.
-
Joni~so sorry! Fervent prayers going out for you and especially your momma! ((((((((Sandy)))))) ((((((((Joni)))))) 🙏💜

how was your b.day, and how is /Auntie, Meece? hope all is well with both of you...
i had to go to you tube to find a rendition of "in the garden " today; im very lonely for my family who's gone before me.. my nana was singing that tune to me when i was a little girl, i miss her, and my mom alot. but, its b.day time for me, too soon, and it is bittersweet, with all of them gone before me..........3jays

Auntie is doing better. They have readjusted her medications and she is improving. We are still aware that she doesn't have a long time left here, but she's feisty.
I am so sorry you are missing your loved ones, {{{{{3Jays}}}}}.
I had a realy good birthday. I really appreciate them for the past 8 years. No, I don't relish getting older, but I AM having birthdays. I spent yesterday evening at my parents home with Matt & his GF and Zak and his fiance. I was a nice evening, and they made me feel special and blessed!
-
Sounds like a PERFECT birthday Meece!!!
Glad to know your Auntie is doing better. We know her time is limited, but at least she can be in control of the wheel...
-
Thank you. One of the best things of my birthday was wathcing my mother. Last year at this time she was so very sick. She could hardly get around at all. Last night I watched her scurry around, really scurry. It was great to see her doing so much better.
-
Yay for Happy Birthdays!
-

3jays I love your picture!!! Sorry been missing a few days. Had to help my DH and DD get themselves together to head to London. They are having a great time and my DD is meeting her cousins for the first time! I grew up with lots of cousins and my kids have not grown up with theirs. They are scattered all over the world... England, South Africa, and Australia. Barbe how are you doing? Still sore after your fall? Joni praying for you and your mom. Hugs to all!!
