Painful lump after biopsy

I had a stereotactic biopsy the first week of January. I have had a hard lump, which I am assuming is scar tissue, ever since. Today the lump is very sore, and I can't put any pressure on it. My daughter hugged me and it took my breath away, it hurt so bad. Should I be concerned?

Sorry to hear about the pain you're under. I too had a stereotactic biopsy at the end of February and my breast is still not 100%. Still tender. I also had a lump after the procedure but was told it was a hematoma (bleeding on the inside caused by the biopsy needle) and that it would go away slowly so not to be alarmed. My lump is not as painful as what you've described so I would call your breast surgeon (or whoever treated you) and just double check with her. Good luck!

I would call your surgeon and let them know about your pain. I had a ultra sound assisted vaccuum biopsy and I know I was quite sore for quite awhile. Also, ask your dr what you can do for it. Let us know how  you are doing.

Want a good laugh? I went in to see my surgeon yesterday, and after asking me several times if I had bumped my breast or done anything unusual over the weekend, I remembered something. I had jumped on the trampoline with my kids on Sunday afternoon! lol!! So my surgeon is pretty sure that my breast wasn't ready for the trampoline. I told him I was showing the kids my moves. Haha! He mentioned that I am smaller busted and had a lot of bleeding and bruising, so there is scar tissue. I do pretty well as long as my bra is on, but at night when I take it off, it gets pretty sore again. Theh lump is really hard, but he said it should go away over time. I might need to do some deep tissue massage to help break it up. If I ever have to have another biopsy, it will be too soon!
