What does a mitology score of 1 mean?

My path report (which I have nearly memorized, but don't have it in front of me) says mitology score of 1 - something about less than 5 and cell division. I'm confused about what that means. Anybody know?

Is this the same as Mitonic score?  I believe that is what you are talking about.  It means the cancer is growing slow, dividing at a slow rate. This is good news. Well, I saw it as good news in my otherwise full of bad news cancer. I was happy to score low on that part! I hope you see it this way as well.Smile

The mitotic index is a relative score of how many cancer cells are in the process of cell division at the time the biopsy was taken.  If many cells are dividing (a mitotic index of 3) the implication is that the tumor is fast growing.  Conversely, a low mitotic index (such as 1) indicates that the tumor is likely to grow slower.

Good. I thought that's what it meant, but I wasn't sure. I'm looking for all the positive things I can find in this. And I can't tell you how much better I feel since I found this community of wonderful ladies.
