Just got my results! Negative! Apparently this huge red spot that I found one month ago today is some sort of dermatitis, not ibc! Praise God! My prayers are still with you Kimberly, Kimberly and Jax! Hope you all get the same good news!

Kim & Jax: hoping you get good news on your test results soon. Thankful Cindy that yours was not ibc.
Thinking about both of you.

Well girls-
I also received good news. Vascular Dermatitis (or something like that)...and some other stuff that they said...but honestly didn't hear much after I heard negative:) I do go back n 3 months for a biopsy on my nipple that likes to bleed...but for now-its great news. My heart hurts to post good news when others are not having good news:( But I think its important for people who are still in limbo to know-some do get good news. I have decided to join the brigaide on spreading word of IBC...this "unknown" needs to known by all women. The day before my phone call came, I found out I am going to be a grandmother for the first time...now I can celebrate. Love to you all and I truly thank everyone who offered support through the hardest week of my life.

Kimberly-
LOVE your name
Sorry you are going through what I just did. Nothing worse than itching, wondering and waiting! I will send you some positive thoughts. Get the tests done-you'll feel better for taking control. It didnt hurt at all...nothing compared to all the itching. If by the slightest chance it was IBC-you do not want to give it your time...which is precious. Please post your results because others here who are offering support will be waiting (me also!). Good luck Kimberly

I understand the feeling of having good news when others aren't. I'm IBC and 2 1/2 yrs post DX and riding NED. There are times though that I hesitate to post to some because they aren't doing 'good' while I am and are much younger.
I am a very private person in most ways but in some I'm not. I will talk to anyone when it comes to IBC. As you have learned - check out/get facts before you assume the worst. Educate. -
Great news Kim.

I need some information please. I was stupid I guess because in 2010 I ignored a lesion that was on my left areola well I kinda ignored it. It itched badly and burned but I went to the doctor when the lesion showed itself. Did the mamagram and everthing was good. Doc gave me some cream and told me to come back in two weeks if it did not get better. It got worse and covered my entire areola and nipple. However because my mamogram was good I just lived with it for nearly a year. slowly it started to disapear but the itiching was still bothersome. Dec. of 2013 the itching and burning came on strong again. I thought I was going to go crazy with it. Then that idiot lesion showed back up. It was small so I did not pay too much attention to it until it got big and ugly and leaking clear fluid, this was close to the middle of Jan. I have crappy insurance with a deductable of three thousand so I decided to do my free mamagram and then have it sent to the gyn on my free pap smear apt for her to read it to me. The mam was on Feb. 4th and by the second week of Feb. I had several lesions on my areola and my nipple on the left breast (by the way same breast from 2010) ungly weeping growing nasty sores that itched and burned so badly but worse yet the pain started in the nipple area like shooting pain in the center. Now I was not waiting until Feb 26, I wanted a biopsy right that minute. I called gyn and asked about it and they sent me to a general surgent. Went there last friday and he told me it really looked like paget's disease of the nipple. I was so relieved since it is a disease. However, he burst my buble by telling me he needed to schedule me for a biopsy because it is a form of cancer. The mamogram came back negative. Plus, last week another lesion started on the right side. All I have read so far about Paget's disease is that it only affects one breast. I had the biopsy and now have to wait for the results. Please tell me that this cannot possibly be paget's disease. By the way before I want to the doctor, when this started up I used the same cortezone cream nothing happened, I used over the counter antifungle cream, tea tree oil, vinager, alcohol, yeast cream and finally I was putting straight bleach on it. One of these should have killed whatever it is and nothing happened but that it keept spreading out and around my nipple. I hate this and I am so scared.
