Mimi1964. Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job.Its so damn hard with the economy. Any other part of health care that you are looking?
Ducky, Fantastic news. Hope mine in July is the same.
Kaara, Some of these doctors think they are G-d. Being on Medicare they act as if they are doing you a favor. Good luck working with your orignal MO
-

Oh I forgot...Welcome home Val.
-
No ladies not eligible for unemployment as I quit the last job I was at to avoid the idiots firing me for something one of my nurses did and the person who "was" my boss wanted to railroad me so I left. Anyway... I am a nurse first and foremost and have been for 30 yrs. Here in the the U.S. I'm called an LPN other places an LVN. I will keep looking worst case scenario I will try and apply at Wal Mart. LOL!
-
Ducky: Good point...I'll put that in my letter to the CEO of Cleveland Clinic! Coincidentally I got a survey with a cover letter from him yesterday...bad timing on his part..hehe!
-
Congrats!Ducky! Congrats,happiness to all!
-
Mimi: So sorry that you didn't get the job. It just means that there is a better one out there for you, so keep looking. My DS has been out of work for a long time as well...this employment situation is really tough right now. He has been playing Mr. Mom to their two year old, a blessing in disguise, because how many fathers have that opportunity.
Sending prayers your way for strength to get through this.
-
Mimi- So sorry you did not get the job. God obviously has other plans for you.
Val - Welcome Back! You were missed.

i thought maybe i would not have to have chemo since i had stage 1 grade medium...1cm 0/2 nodules er+/PR+ her2-...but my mammoprint came back as high risk so i have to have chemo.
apparently mammoprint checks 70 some genes as oncotype does 20 something and BS sent me to MO...which i probably will start AC chemo in a week or so...after my colonoscopy on march12
very frustrating...as i thought after mammosite rads it might not come to that
-
i am so blessed just by knowing you ladies..............so many good wishes before, and so many "Happy Dances" after............love you all.................I am so lucky..............hugs.
-
Ducky - WooHoo!! Doing the happy dance for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kaara - I have done exactly what you did! Walked out of a doctor's office for waiting too long.
Renee - I am praying that God shows you the path that he wants you to take for your job. Hugs. -
Thanks Hawk................dancing my pants off...................
-
Fabulous news, ducky!!!! Whew!
Kaara ~ I don't blame you for walking out of that MO's office, GOOD for you!!
I hung up on a gal from Walgreen's yesterday (Wed) after she kept repeating something to me like I was an idiot from another planet in a very condescending voice about something that I knew damn well I was right on. She was pis*ing me off! I should report her..... IT FELT SO GOOD to hang up on her !!!
-
Yeah, DuckY!!!!
Mimi, I so understand your frustration. Try to keep the faith. I am sending you love.
-
munnybunni, Sorry you have to have chemo, but at least you seem to be covering all the bases and giving yourself the best chance to beat this. Good luck.
happy dance for Ducky.
-
I feel kind of lost when I don't have time or energy to be here....drugs, long hours, house, family....taking my all.
Tomorrow (Friday) I have my 6 month follow up with BS. I cannot believe I'm here already. I am disappointed that I gained weight on rads and it's been 8 weeks and no loss yet.
My DS had a job interview in San Francisco on Monday. He is waiting for that call by tomorrow. I am holding my breath because I want him to have this; but the thought of him leaving, after the year we've had here, is already more than I think I can bear. The legacy of BC just goes on....
Mimi, I just don't know what to say about your disappointment, because it just isn't OK. You've been through enough....i pray that you will soon have more good choices.
Layla, how are you feeling? I hope you are OK.
(((munnybunny))) I pray you will have minimal SEs if you are starting chemo. It must be a tough time for you.
Hawk, so happy you have rads behind you. I hope you are taking it easy and recovering from the daily trips and general tiredness. Good days ahead!
Kaara, my original MO never ever called me back - even when I told the NP that I was having frequent chest pains on the A.I. I stopped it and didn't resume until my next appointment with her....When I saw her, she implied that I was being remiss in not taking the A.I. and that I'd have to find something I will take regularly (like a good girl, huh?)
This is what happens when I miss a few days....can't keep up with y'all.
Just want to say that it's really like family here...because it doesn't matter if you are away - there's a welcome mat when you come back.
Thanks....
-
Ducky, Soooooooooo happy for your good report. It was very touching to hear how your family was celebrating with you. Stay happy...you've come a long way.
Granny, u feeling better? I seem to have more of those blah days than good days lately.
nite all....PS - thanks for all the suggestions about Femara. When I renew (soon) I will request the name brand to see if it is any different.
-
Hi all - am at BS appt and been waiting 52 min. Phone battery is low. What will I do? What Did we do before smart phones. Hope your day is going well today.
Joan -
Hi Joan hope all is well with your BS follow up today... good luck!!
-
Munnybunni drats on chemo, but you will get through it one day at a time
mimi so sorry for not getting that job. If I were you I would file for unemployment anyway. You might just have a case with the fact that you felt like you had to quit. I have seen it be approved before.
Kaara good for you for standing up to the Dr's office. I think if we all started sending bills to our Dr's for out time they may think differently about making us wait. Of course there will always be emergencies but much of it is their lack of running their offices properly.
-
Joan - bummer your phone battery is low! I keep thinking about what you wrote and how you felt after rads and it makes me feel relieved. Every day does seem to get a bit better. I'm so so so thirsty!!
Munnybunni - prayers to you for little SE's from chemo. -
Again ladies...........thanks so much for celebrating with me
Joan......yes they were celebrating, and its a feel good feeling
PTdreamers...........thanks girlfriend
Trubff, thanks, so much for caring.
Valjean........It was fantastic news...............and kudos to you girlfriend on that phone call.......and report her, get the corporate number first, and then call the local store where you made the call too....my kids say to me when I do stuff like that..........Mom, you could get someone fired..........I say......well maybe when they get their next job, they will think twice about being a "bitch" to a customer.
Here's one for you........in Pa. the state lottery occassionally send us a "buy one, get one free page of coupons".............well for the month of March you can buy 1 Powerball, and get a multiplier free.......................so I was in the supermarket where I usually pick up a ticket once in a while..........I thought.........hell, I am gonna use the March coupon.................I went up to the girl at the lottery customer service, handed it to her, and she turned and said to the girl behind her ............do we take these things"............girl said "no"......then first girl said to me......."we don't accept these"...........................I said ..................your a state lottery merchant, what do you mean you don't accept them.................she slid it into the machine, and said loudly; SEE IT WON'T TAKE IT"...............and tossed it back to me.......................I said ..............hmmmm, well that is odd, but ok, you win the first round...................................
Went home, called Lottery headquarters, and asked the question..............they said "everyone who sells lottery tickets has to accept them, either the girl is lazy, or she don't know how to do it....................then the woman (very nice) said "do you want to file a complaint"..................I said, "your damn right I do"..............tooik down all the info..............and said "a supervisor will be out there tomorrow..........
I went back cause I needed flour this morning...............and gave the "same girl".........the ticket,..........she took it, put it into the machine, geve me my ticket and I looked at her and said...................Round 2........I won, and by the way "I'm the one who reported you, in case your wondering........................
-
Good for you Ducky
-
My kids always say............"don't mess with the Duckster"................
-
LADIES, YOU HAVE TO GO ON "THINKING OUT LOUD THREAD", and see my harrowing experience today with a container of flour.........................refuse to re-type it................you won't believe it...........................ahhhh, yes you will..........by now you know me.........and the things I do.............hahahahha
-
duckyb1: You go girl!
-
thanks ducky - that was excellent!!!!
-
Ducky you made me go look and your story is funny! You do need a picture though
-
Oh I WANT pictures!!!
