Genie Bra

Is this bra good for BMX - no reconstruction?  Can I put poofs inside of them?  If anyone has any information on the Genie Bra, thanks for your responses.  Barbie

    Hi barbiecorn,

I have a Genie Bra from before surgery and I did try putting it on with a poof inside.  It held the poof, looked good, but tended to ride up when I moved.  Since I had my BMX in December and am not comfortable wearing anything on my chest except t-shirts right now, I didn't even try keeping it on for any length of time.

Genie didn't work for me - far too tight around my underarm LE - it comes up too high. Plus it had a tendency to ride up too - even with heavy silicone foobs in it. Also the pockets are very large and I spent a lot of time shunting the foobs apart.

It didn't work for me this time (I will probably try it again in the future though) It rode up, and even purchased 2 sizes too big, it was way too tight and I swelled out over it in the armpit area. That area is so sensitive for me I have to be so careful to not have anything tight there.

I like the genie bras.  I had a umx, so riding up wasn't as much of an issue for me, because the other breast keeps it down (though it will ride up a little).  I like the higher coverage in the arm pit because the edge of it wasn't cutting across my snb.  I can put the poof form in and it looks fine (with a little primping).  I particularly like the genie with a umx because it lies pretty flat when I don't use a form, but still gives my remaining breast some support.

I bought the genie 2 sizes too big.  That was good for after surgery, but now, I probably would go with only one size too big (at 5 months out).

    Good luck...

    Claire
