    My red solo cup is ready and waiting! 

    Throwing in the shortness of breath and fatigue I've developed now after 21 rads treatments.  Only 7 more to go.  So tired at this moment!  

    Need to fill that red solo cup many times!

    Kittygirl, yes, I am really trying to be positive and not the whiny girl, but it sure is nice to have a place to toss unwanted garbage.  I have done my share of lurking, and especially trying to get information on specific things, but I would truly encourage anyone who DOES come here to read, to also jump in and share.  I didn't want to share personal info, but have found that if I DO share some, I can not only get support, but also help others who may be having similar questions or issues. For every person who has a bad experience, there are several more who have had good, or at least have suggestions on dealing with the bad in a positive way.

    VR, I am joining you with a virtual red solo cup! Will contribute whatever is in my liquor cabinet!  Salud!

    Rachel, glad to hear you are still hanging in there - hope the neuropathy is not progressing.

    DT, sounds like you have just one more week of rads - just draw up a chair and warm yourself by the fire, and one day at a time, you can do this.

    It's going to be a clear night here tonight, so I will look for the flames to burn brightly, consuming the ugliness, while keeping us warm and entertained with the beauty of glowing coals & flames leaping skyward, as we draw closer in fellowhip and support for each other.

    VR - laughing about your kids teaching your 80 year old mother beer pong!  My mom learned to play last summer as well!!  Too funny!

    King...............I'm almost 77 (next month)..............4 years ago when one of my grandsons graduated from Temple University, I learned how to play "beer pong"....................I had so much fun, and I beat the hell out of all of them.....................they forgot I played "basketball in high school", won several trophies at our swim club for making the most foul shots..........................or maybe they didn't know that.

    My one daughter was not happy with me playing, but the other 5 of my kids laughed their asses off.................but then again, that is the same daughter who was "pissed" at me for going to the Water Park at 63, and not missing  a slide......................hey you only go around once.............and I'm glad I did it.....................I also still jitterbug, cha cha, and do the stroll...................I'm from the 50's...........I danced on American Bandstand, and still dance whenever there is music to dance to.......................Let's have a party................Like I tell my grandkids...................I'M NOT AS GOOD AS I ONCE WAS..........BUT I'M AS GOOD "ONCE" AS I EVER WAS.........................HAHAHAHAHAHA

    Ducky....you sound like my kind of woman!  I am going to have to ask my son to teach me how to play beer pong.  I know what it is, but have never played.  You danced on American Bandstand? How cool is that?

    Ducky... I got the beer pong table and red solo cups... Maybe I will make a beer pong party and you can come and drill the newbies!

    1openheart..........yes I did..........I lived in Philadelphia, when I was young, and American Bandstand was in Philly..................It was so much fun.....we would go right after school.............I spent most of my time dancing.........we would go to Bandstand after school, and then on the weekends, to the dances on Fri, Sat, and Sunday.............no wonder I was 99lbs soak and wet...............

    Right before I was diagnosed with BC, I was taking Country Line Dancing Lessons..........found out about it, went that night, and 1 week later had the biopsy, and went to "lessons" that night too.............I love line dancing, it is so much fun, but no one wants to go.......I hate walking on a treadmill...............it is so boring..........dancing is my thing, but I hate going alone, and can't talk my daughters into going.............oh well..........

    Hey Ducky----you danced on American Bandstand??????damn i used to run home from school to watch that show....danced my ass of with all those wonderful dancers....

    I went with my neice to zumba last nite.now i do zumba in my bldg along with exercises daily and go to the senior center to do zumba too.These girls were 20-30-40 and maybe some close to 50.you wanna talk about dance.NO I DID NOT DANCE THE ENTIRE HOUR!!!!and iam sore all over....i guess it was too advanced for this old body.My neice is 42.ha.

    I have no idea what beer pong is...can someone explain?

    I would rather go with the other video you posted with the girl with the spiked up hair....that was me yrs ago....jumpin like a maniac but the beer pong....shit i hate beer...dont even like the smell of it...and if i drank it you girls would have to take me to the emergency room with my stomach  problems ...SOOOOOOOOOOO Lets dance!!!!!!!!!!!come on...lets get the party started....no booze...just dance....i get the feelin im goin alone....

    When they offer you hats, reconsider that I kept all my knitted(darned)  hats, and with the last two cold winters in florida they came in handy, felt like Ebenezer.

    Can I just set this bag of scarves to the side of the fire to warm up? They belong to one of the older ladies from the church we used to go to. She sweetly dropped them off the other day for me to use. Very sweet, but I'm 46 and these scarves are really "old" fashioned, and obviously not washed before dropping them around...



    How on earth can I politely decline them????? Until I work that out I'll just leave the bag sitting here....

    Jennnt--- Wash them--- they are likely from the 60-70's ------I had saved and washed and bagged all of mine -------couldn't part with them. When I went to the local BC place to get scarves and Wigs. I PLAYED WITH THE SCARVES. First there was one woman-------then she got everybody. Total of four volunteer women. Then one asked the question. "Where did you learn how to do these things with scarves" I said " the 60'-70's"  Flower child.Then they were matched with outfits. Very fashionable. The difference between the scarves of today, and 60-70's, is that they don't cover the entire head and you can't do anything creative with them.

    Never wore a wig when I was bald. I did scarves and most were from my stash from Circa 1970's. We had so much fun with them then.  Earrings the whole look. Peasant look.

     I hate beer too.  Allergy to the hops.  Makes me sick to my stomach.  But I'm great at cheering for the team.  Got my pom poms, in my short skirt and showing off my splits and high kicks.  OOPS did not mean to show off that much, forgot my panties......

    Haven't had anything to throw in for some time but now is the time.  Even though I loved my BS, I want to throw him in the fire for not telling me that I had options for recon after my lumpectomy.  He took the entire bottom half of my breast and then had the nerve to tell me it looked good.  The scar does not look bad but I am now lopsided.  The left is an A cup and the right is a B cup.  WTF!!!!  I am now working with a PS to get evened out and get the nipple put back where it belongs.  Why are we told all this stuff?????  Thanks - feel better now.

    Jo, that is just NOT right.   Your BS is full of BS!  Lumpectomies can be improved considerably by fat grafting!  

    Ah, the fire is quite toasty now...warmin' my toes!

    Hello everyone. I've been lurking in the shadows of the fire and watching the fun and I think it is time to toss in the the dark cloud that I feel like has been hanging over my head for the last six months. When I was diagnosed and going through surgery, rads, and all that, I was FINE. Positive attitude, happy, cheerful with the docs, and all that. 

    Now I can't let it go. I can't get back to normal activities, I don't want to be social, I just want to stay home. I work from home, so no commute to force me out every morning. I feel like I'm just waiting for it to come back.

    So....IN IT GOES!!!! Enough already!!! STand back - this one's gonna flame up big time!
