Raloxifene for premenopause ALH?

I recently was diagnosed with ALH and put on Tamoxifen regimen 20m a day.  I had severe depression and went back to the oncologist.  He's adjusted me to 10m a day but said I could, instead take raloxifene if this dosage still has bad SE.  I'm 45 and premenopausal.  Everything I've read says raloxifene is only used in post-menopausal cases.  Has anyone ever heard of raloxifene as an option for prevention in premenopausal women?

My onoclogist proposed Raloxifene as an option for me last year when I was diagnosed with ADH (I was 53 but still gettting periods) although everything I had read stated this drug was only indicated for post-menopausal women.  I ended up deciding not to take it after he calculated that it would only reduce my risk by 4%.  When I asked him about this discrepancy between what I had read and what he was suggesting, he insisted that Raloxifene (Evista) was ok to take if pre/peri-menopausal.

Momoschki...Thanks for your reply.  I think I'm going to ask him to tell me what studies he's read that make him suggest raloxifene as an option for me.  I just don't trust that he's correct.  I mentioned the STAR trial to him when I was in his office and he didn't seem to know that the STAR trial was only done with post-menopausal women.  I don't want to end up taking this drug, having all the SE, and it's not going to work because I'm premenopausal.  I sure think you made a sound decision if it was only going to reduce your risk by 4%.
