Hi! Never did this before. I'm from Dexter and I just had a single mastectomy yesterday. Got home this morning. Found out I had breast cancer the first of Oct. Started chemo a week later. Don't feel good and I'm scared. Probably going to bed now, and look back tomorrow but I to say how I feel.

Prgrmr2, hi this is Jen, I started this post back in June/July. I just finished with Radiation 2 weeks ago. I had a left mastectomy. I will be having the right breast removed on march 23. I live right down the road from you. Send me an email. I don't really like to put where i live online except I live in Newport. I would be happy to get in contact with you.
My email is jbagleyfnp@hotmail.com
My journey is on my blog, www.thecaringsoulblog.blogspot.com. If you just want to read. I am here if you need me! I will be starting a breast cancer support group at the Newport Cultural Center hopefully in the next month or so.
I also am a Reiki practitioner. If it is ok, I can send distance Reiki. And I can always give you a treatment at my home or I can come to you. I use crystals for healing. I swear by it, I got reiki before each chemo treatment. Let me know. My last name is Bagley.
Crystal Blessings,
Hang in there

Hi ladies! Another Mainer here ... from Nobleboro (midcoast region). Just had my bi-lateral on April 20th and have been doing well so far. Am not going to be runing any marathons anytime soon but am fairly pain-free and off the heavy duty drugs one week later. Hopefully drains come out soon and I'll be back behind the wheel again ... am getting bored at home.
Best wishes to all of you!

Just reviving this topic for 2013, and to see if some more Maine residents want to check in. I am a two timer, currently in tx for a second breat cancer. I start rads March 11. I will be working half days and traveling to treatment every afternoon for four weeks. Just saw the new Augusta center, which is beautiful inside, kind of unfinished outside. I heard that Brewer had a new one, as well. How are you ladies who wrote in a year ago? Jen, Heidi, prgrmr, Kasi and teresa5, and you others...
All best from Knox/Waldo counties!
