Anybody by chance started TCH treatment this week?
I'm feeling awful, & have been since day 3. This is the 3rd day of feeling like this, & I'm just wondering if I'll ever be better!! Since this is my first time, I have no idea what to expect, but I sure know I don't want to feel like this - no energy, sore throat, can't do much of anything - for much longer!!

Sorry you haven't had any responses yet. Although I had TC, I'm stopping to bump your thread for you. My "bad" days also hit the 3rd day (or late the 2nd day) after my infusion and lasted for 3 or 4 days, which is fairly common.
One thing you might do is click on the Forum Index above, then scroll down to the Chemotherapy Forum. Click on that, and you'll find many active threads. There should be one for women starting chemo in February, which would be a perfect one for you to join for information and support! I was in the Aug 08 chemo group, and I don't think I could have gotten through it without that daily support from others going through the same thing!
Glad you've found BCO, and hang in there! There's light at the end of the tunnel. I promise! (((Hugs))) Deanna

I had TCH over a year ago. I had chemo on Tuesday, Thursday I started to feel crappy through Sunday my first round. Part of it was that nuelasta shot. That isn't as bad the next time around. After that my bad days were Thursday Friday and Saturday.
Check out this thread: taxotere, carboplatin and herceptin. All us TCH people are there. We can give you pointers on how to handle certain SE.

I started TCH x 6 rounds on Feb 20th. First days were ok. Had indigestion on day 3-4. Now stomach just feels full all the time like I ate too much (haven't eaten much at all). No nausea. Energy level is normal. Chemo treatments are every 3 weeks mercifully. Still have my hair, but it's still early!

I started first round 2/23. I still feel weak. No energy! I cycle every 3 weeks. Not looking forward to next dose. I am also still sore from double mastectomy/reconstruction. Everyone says it will get better....I'm waiting!

Come join us in the February 2012 thread under the Chemo forum!!!
I had my first treatment two weeks ago, and that whole first week was rough. At the end of day #7 I started to feel better.

Had my first treatment yesterday 2/29/12 and it went fine - I had lots of energy after the treatment and still feel ok this morning. They told me to expect flu like symptoms but to take tylenol. I also have multiple sclerosis and fibromyalgia so I may just be used to the aches and pains. Be sure to eat frequent small meals throughout the day it really helps with nausea. Also has your oncologist put you on any steroids - they really help with energy levels. I take 4 mg the day before and day of and they infuse another 20 mg with treatment. Everyone reacts differently to treatment but I hope you are feeling better soon.
