Im a 21 year old male, Healthy as far as I know about a month in a half ago I noticed a sore lump under my nipple and it left it alone for a two weeks and it was still there so I made a doctors appointment thanks to my friends or i would have let it take it course. the doctors said the could not feel what i was feeling so he sheduled a ultra sound.

It has not grown in a month still a little sore it is not round its really hard to explain. Its under my left nipple I understand that male BC is rare making up 1% of all BC cases and even less common for somone of my age. I have no family history of BC but my mom did have stage 4 ovarian cancer which is gone now without conventional treatment she is as healthy can be. 

 Im nervous that its gonna be bad and if it im even mor nervous that my moms gonna want me to do the same treatment she did.

    Hi chancetaker...

    Male breast cancer is rare, but any lumps should be checked out and I think you were very wise to see a doctor. My Dad was diagnosed with mbc in his 60's. You're very young and chances are it isn't cancer! But if it is, there are some very effective treatments out there and an oncologist will guide you. Many people do both conventional and unconventional treatments together! I hope that you are just fine though and won't have to worry about any of it. Please let us know the ultrasound results!

    Hi Chancetaker and welcome to BCO.  You are right when you say that male BC is quite rare and because of that and your age, your chances of having it are very low.  Not all lumps in the breast area are BC they can be any number of things that are easily dealt with but I'm very glad you have had the sense to go to a doc and have it checked out.  Take a few big deep breaths and try to relax but do let us know what your results are.  We are always here.

    Chancetaker, I was 37 when I was diagnosed and also a male.  I went for 2 years without having it checked because my family doctor convinced me it was nothing.  Have it checked.  My aunt is being treated successfuly for non-hodgkins lymphoma with non-conventional methods.  She wanted me to do the same.  Her doctor had a 60% success rate with his method.  Conventional methods have a 97% success rate.  I chose the conventional.  It is your choice to make and you are old enough to make it.  Best of luck to you!

    Hey everyone thank you for the replys. I went in today and had an ultrasound and talked with the radioligist's he and she said it was gynomastia which i dont under stand because im not over weight never taken a steroid or done drugs but i have drank a few time in the past but i dont anymore because it does not agree with me. They are sure it gynomastia but its on one side only and they are both sure it gynomastia it one of the radioligy departments in the us at loma linda. should i have a second opinion

    My 24 year old son had the same thing: gynomastia on just the left side. Since I had just had a double mastectomy, naturally he was a little freaked out. However, it eventually went away on its own.

    I am not familiar enough with gynomastia to be of any help.  I am studying to be an RN and we did cover it recently.  It is basicly a hormone problem.  Men don't develop breasts because they don't get the hormone stimlation to do so.  You are apparently getting the signal to grow breasts on one side.  It is more common than you think and very treatable.  Be happy... It wasn't breast cancer!

    I had an amost similar problem some years ago but unlike you, I didnt go to the Doctor.Instead i took to applying Aloe Vera which suppressed the itching for some time. When I noticed the condition was spreading to the right Breast I started drinking Juice from a certain herb I do not Know its Boilogical name( I dint Do Biology in sec sch)

    If it's still disturbing you, I can show you this herb.
