Thank you so much for your reply and concern..

As I said I am at Saudi Arabia. This is the only report which the clinic have given and they have referenced to another hospital for further treatment. I donot know what report it is. But hope you could clarify my doubts by the GROSS and NOTES of the above report. I am trying to get further details. As of now she is undergoing ECG, Scanning, XRAy all other tests back home.

    I appreciate your concern..

As far as medical terminology "Gross" means what the specimen recieved could be described as just by looking at it in the container.  They state largest piece is 1 cm- multiple linear cores, which means several small pieces of tissue taken from an area.  Then they discuss the microscopy findings or appearance.

The notes section states "malignant specimens (if any)..."-  this sounds like a generic phrase added to reports which means, if any cancer is found they will keep the specimens for at least 1 year, after that amount of time they can not guarantee they'll have the specimens if anyone wanted to re-examine the tissue samples for any reason.

I hope this helps you with the medical terminology.  I am glad you say your mother is having further studies and the doctors will give her some news to report to you soon.  Best wishes for your mother and for you.

It sounds like she had IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma- grade 2 and 1 cm, which is an early bc and not knowing to much more details like, stage, lymph nodes being neg or positive- er/pr and her it hard to go off just this report, but from what i can tell its early breast cancer and she should get through this ok. We are all here for you and your mom, please let us know how you are doing and feel free to ask any questions you may have, Im sorry about your mom she/You will be in my thoughts and prayers

    Hugs,

    Debbie

I didnot know that I will get so many kind responses for my post.Thank You very much to all.Your kind responses have really gave me the hope and boosted my confidence. Since I am at Saudi Arabia, I too donot have much details/reports of my mother's condition(back in India). But my brothers are over there and I will soon get further details and will definately post those informations. I too feel that u cannot come to any conclusions only with the above mentioned report. I am trying to get more.

And I heartily thank each of you for your support and prayer for my mother.
