Lexapro

I was taking it and found it very effective in lifting my mood. I changed to Efexor to try to get relief from hot flashes, which Efexor sometimes helps with. I think it's not quite as effective for my mood as Lexepro was and I still have some flashes. But I am afraid to stop taking Efexor in case the hot flashes increase!

I was on lexapro but then my med onc said he did not want me on that because of tamoxifen.  He wanted me to switch to effexor.  I switched a few weeks ago.  We are still changing the doses around but I think I liked lexapro better but I just started a higher dose of effexor yesterday so it's too soon to tell.
