So it was beautiful out and I had the day off and I was racing home to go out and exercise and I slipped and fell. My knee actually hurts much worse but I broke the skin in two small spots on my elbow.

I actually did nto realize this for 5 hours, I had my sleeve on and my knee was KILLING.

So the question is should I pop a Levaquin?

I am leaning towards no, my stomach is a bit upset already, but darn, I wish I had cut my knee or my otherside instead.

Levaquin didn't bother my stomach. You should pop one.

I am being treated for cellulitis for the 2nd time. It hurts a lot.

Cookie, my prescribing doctor's instructions are, not unless there's a specific indication of impending infection. Like sudden swelling, warmth to the touch, fever, redness that spreads. But DO treat it topically and keep a close watch on it -- maybe set the alarm clock tonight and check on it.

The exception would be if you'd fallen someplace especially dirty. The example that comes to mind was a friend who fell on the muddy trolley tracks in Amsterdam while at a business conference and scraped up her whole LE arm.Surprised Or the woman who tripped in the horse corral and fell on a piece of baling wire.

Just curious, but what did it do to your sleeve? I've found they're pretty darn sturdy.

Sure hope your knee is okay! Take it easy, and please keep us posted.

    Real gentle hugs,
    Binney

Ma you are right that cellulitis sucks!

Binney thank you for the good advice. The sleeve was just fine, although it was under a shirt.

I even have a doctors app tomorrow. So that's good. It's odd that my knee hurts so much worse, but my arm got the cut.

Maybe your knee just took most of the brunt of the fall. Sorry it hurts. Glad you have the doctor's appointment tomorrow.

Do you need another sleeve now?
