Hello! I was diagnosed in August of 2007. Had a lumpectomy 6 rounds of chemo and 33 treatments of radiation. Completed treatments in May of 2008. In March of 2008 started taking Tamoxifen. Everything had been going well up until December of 2010 when my ca 15-3 was elevated to 32. It usually runs 27-28. My oncologist decided to wait 6 weeks and recheck at which time my maker was down to 24. When I went back in June for 6 month check up my ca 15-3 was 35. Checked six weeks later it was 39. Oncologist order CT scan of chest, pelvis and abdomen but found nothing. When I went back for my next check up in December 2011 the ca 15-3 was 44. A PET scan was ordered which showed minimal uptake to area where previous cancer was of which the oncologist wasn't concerned. It also showed an area of minimal uptake to left hip where a 1 cm "chewed up looking" lesion was found. My oncologist said that we'd wait 3 months and do a CT scan of my pelvis and more blood work. He then wants to meet with me a week later. Usually he just calls me with the results. Of course now I'm worrying that we may be looking at a Mets and treatments. I have had next to no pain in my left hip, but have been having pain to my right hip for  about 2 years now just figured it was arthritis as it runs in the family. Other than that I feel fine. Just abit anxious now, and abit silly. It's probably nothing right?

Hi there. Even if the lesion is cancer, it is easy to manage. I have one on my left hip and even though it is growing, I have no pain. I have pain in my other hip and that is arthritis. Heres praying that it is nothing and you are clear for a long long time.

Thank you, Lovinmomma . What kind of treatments are you receiving? Is it possible to maintain somekind of normalacy and to continue to work?
