I had 25 rounds and 8 boosts, total of 33. Was told only to use only what the Dr said. Started with calendula 2x day and a special steroid gel mix made by the Dr at night after the second week. @week 4 when burn started to peel I was told to use Demeboro soaks 2x day followed by silver sulfadine cream (scrip). Was still using steriod gel and calendula so this was now 5x a day doing something and hard with working 9 hours a day. On last day of treatment I was told to STOP all steroid gel and calendula and start with arbonne cream and arbonne oil they sell at the oncologist office. It is a face cream from Europe..?!! I figured I would use it on my fac as well! Burn is brown and peeling, new pink skin coming through.

I finished 28 full and 7 boosters for a total of 35 radiation treatments and my RO would only allow me to use Radiagel after treatment and again at bedtime. After my treatments were done I started using Cetaphil (recommended by RO) so my skin is not so dried out. My biggest thing was my underarm burned and peeled. That was so itchy! I really wanted to do a good scratch session but knew better. My underarm is much better and I told my RO that once it got completely healed, I was going to scratch just because I could, lol.
My biggest thing was fatigue and I think a lot came from just having to go everyday. Thank goodness I only live 12 miles from the cancer center. Again, I am blessed that it is cooler since I can't use deoderant on my underarm, I have to use cornstarch. I really sweat when I working in the house or while outside. So all in all, I don't have many complaints.
God bless all y'all!

My dr said 3 choices---Emu oil,Calendula or Aquafor.I tried them all.Aqua is a mess but it does work.Emu i still use for sore joints, cuts and abrasions.love it and the Calendula.my favorite the gel.still use it too. When I asked the RO about Utterly Smooth which i have been using for over 15 yrs.all over my body he said NO.too many chemicals.I never blistered even tho he thought i would being a DD.I creamed 3-4-5x a day and i only got one tan boob that is stillas firm as a 20 yr old while the other one lays limp.
I dont use deoderant under the bad arm but i do use the cornstarch cause its always wet and sticky.
OH THE JOYS OF BC!!!!!!
