Oh, great (said with sarcasm).  Not sure how this will impact anyone facing an RT decision now, but it's not very comforting to those of us who have had RT:

    Thanks for sharing .I am schedule for RT in mid March . I am speechless at this point after reading this article. It is bad enough we are dealing with this nightmare disease , we also have to deal with confusion over the treatments we are enduring.... disturbing article.

    Deanna, thanks for posting. (I think ;)  Do you know, have there been studies that track the type of cancer that's likely to come with a recurrence? I have grade 1 and had asked my MO if any recurrence would be the same type. She said generally yes, the recurrence is the same grade; it's possible for the cancer cells to mutate but she said it's unusual. Obviously, that's not a statisical sample. And with second primaries, all bets are off. But I'm wondering if past studies have shown the end-results implied by this new study, even if we didn't know the cause. (I just did a quick search on PubMed and got sidetracked reading other studies...)
