Cough and Colds in 2012
Hi,
I have had two colds already this year and it's tiring me out. Wondered if any of you have been battling coughs and colds more than usual. I'm thinking the milder winter may be responsible. I was sick for two weeks, well for three and not back to sick again. I wish I could find a cure so I could get back to normal. Seems like I'm always looking for the "cure" to things!
Thanks for listening!
Nancy

Ziacam. First sign of a cold I start taking this.Usually works well and helps get over the cold faster.
So far no colds this year but I never really got them before. I did get a really bad one at the end of August then again in October. I ended treatment (Herceptin) in September. I think now my white counts are back up to normal, finally.

Hi Nancy, I have experienced the same thing, cold and flu like symptoms, ok after 4 days then flat back again. Had a sinus infection for three courses of antibiotics, bad for a few days, then ok, back and forth. Everyone around me has a similar story. Have been blaming it on the wierd weather, here in WNY this weekend it was in the teens for the first time this winter with snow and in two days it is due to hit 48. I am back to sneezing again this AM!! Karen

Oh Karen,
Hope you didn't catch it from DH and I... I'm sitting here sneezing trying to get up the energy to hop on the treadmill... DH went to work... poor guy!
IllinoisNancy,
I feel as though there seems to be more stuff floating around this year, too! And what is there seems to be particularly rough to get over... One thing I do is wash my hands the minute I get in from a public place. That and avoid putting my hands near my face! I'm sure none of this is new advice, though!
Hope you feel better soon!
Karen, You, too! -
Seaside. I'm hoping I sneezed due to hairs floating up from petting the cat! Poor DH having to work feeling like that. I'm trying to decide to jump on the bike. So far the book I'm reading is winning out, it is "Extemely Loud and Incredibly Close". Will see the movie after reading the book, my friend will read it also and then we see the movie. Did that with "the Help" also.
