That is so wonderful Ducky! As for the Italian thing, that's the way it was for my very Italian generation.....not my americanized kids! Your family is wonderful!
-
agreed Linda, Italian boys are very different with there mothers....
Ducky I hope you know how lucky you are!!!
Sandy
-
Hoow are you feeling Sandy??
-
Oh Ducky...i can't wait to be a grandma one day.....
Sandy♥
Unproductive day......some GF is needed..........
-
I am very grateful for my children, and my grandchildren...................My youngest son's wife, has left him and his 4 kids, off and on for the past 3 years............She was a good mother, and wife at one time.......just not sure what happened to her.......she has someone else, and my son did everything he could to win her back.....................it was hopeless from the beginning, but he could not see that, and kind of gave up on us too, cause we got "kind of the blame".......................this freak had everything a woman could want...............my son for one thing, who gave her everything, and loved her............he built her a beautiful hom, denied her nothing ........her jewelry was the envy of all.........she drove a Mercedes..............and he bought a new home down the Jersey shore, and she got to go there 4 out of 7 days all summer............
Well the last time she decided to come home, he told her ...........first, I am back with my family, and if that is a problem, your gonna deal with it.................second, you have come and gone too many times, and your not goinna do this to the kids anymore (they stayed with him).....................you leave this time, and your gone for good.............................well whatever happened..................lhe kicked her out...................now he is done with her.
So we are all doing our part..........making food for him and the kids, each of his 5 brothers and sisters are all sending something over to him.........my daughter had his little girl over her house all day Saturday..........I made food for him, and sent it over..............we are going to fatten him up (he is skin and bones)............and make a new life for those kids.....................he is the most giving, wonderful person I know, and he will bounce back......................we will not let it be any other way..............
That is how we are as a family...............my husband would say when they were little..........I want you kids to always remain together, remember nothing beats family...................then he would say...............when one of you gets hurt...........I want you all to cry for them...............and the last thing he said before he died, was.......................Take care of your mother...............................and please stay together
And we will..................I know how fortunate I am, and I tell them everyday............and thank God my grandchildren have been raised with the same love......................If you have a good family.................you have everything............
-
god bless ducky and her family.
And a big hurtful SLAP for those who desperately need it.
Linda...pour some clorox even thou he didn't do anything...........maybe you can keep him there the last 2 weeks of July
-
Hey Ladies...........its 11:06, here in Pa., and I am just a busy little bee today..............Hey maybe I can be a Romper Room Do-Bee..........................
Made a pot of homemade Ham and Bean soup...........a couple of my kids love it.....and it will be a good meal for my son (who has the bitch for a wife)............You all know that story...............
I will put it all in containers, and send it to all who like it..........it is a huge pot......2lb of Navy Beans, and a huge piece of ham.
I have a Sour Cream Pound CAke in the oven for my grandson.....we are celebrating his birthday tonight, and he loves my pound cake......My family celebrates birthdays with a "dinner" for the family, and we all get together.............it is always a fun time........and I am usually the brunt of their jokes............they love to tease........
Glad I got it all done early...........now I will sit and do my crossword puzzle, while waiting for the cake to get finished, and keep an eye on the soup................Honestly I should have just put a fire under the bathtub, I made so much...............................and its a jacuzzi tub, so I could have turned on the jets, and I wouldn't have even had to stir it.............hahahahahahaha.....enjoy your day, my friends.
-
ducky..i love soup.....i will send you my address.......
good morning (((TOL)))
-

Are you all expecting snow tomorrow/ OMG you think the world is coming to an end....1-3 inches and they are calling it a STORM
-
Oh God help me.....
I feel like going to a field and scream & cry until .............
Being angry & upset for a reason it's one thing but
This i don't understand.....what's wrong with me/....I'm in a rage ready to slap whoever comes on my path
I know I'm not making any sense but i truly feel like I'm gonna explode in pieces.
Thank You for listening....Sorry

Judy. I made the 3-2-1 cakes for a snack tonight. So very good and only 105 calories each. Thank you for the suggestion!
-
Thanks Linda. He didn't do anything but all my MH issues....he is the main cause.
every time something happens or someone says something with that tone of voice.....it's taking me back in the 70's again.
My friend says dont think about him and I'm not trying to think
I think this wedding brought up lots of issues for me...very deep ones .......Pour the clorox....send me the bill
-
I need to try some of that cake!
-
Where is the cake?
-

have a good night!!
-
You too Sandy!
My last pic is of clorox bleach!
I want cake!
-
Linda...I thought you were pouring vodka for ducky
-
Not sure if its pure luck, or if shit just finds me...........................remember I said I was going to my grandson's birthday party tonight, along with his Pound CAke....................
Went to my daughter's to get a ride with her, and when I get inside her house, my son-in=law looks at me and says..............."What the hell is wrong with your eye"............well it was still in the socket, so I figured how bad can it be...................Ok, thinking, "eye snot" that didn't get removed after my shower.............hmmmm..............mascara that I might have put on my eye lid instead of my eye lash..........................since he is a "drama king", I figure, "asshole"................................went into the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and my whole right eye socket is covered in "blood"..............
I'm thinking grrrrreeeeeeaaaaaattttttt............................in addition to the age spots, wrinkles that only "wood putty" could repair, now I have an eye that looks like I just went through "makeup" for a 3 hour horror movie.
Friday night, can't do anything about it, not gonna miss the party, and damn sure am not going to pay the ER $100.00 to tell me.............go to see a specialist as soon as possible......................
Well now my grandaughter (the 11 year old), comes into the room, and says "NAN, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR EYE'..................and proceeds to run screaming to my daughter who is upstairs "MOM YOU SHOULD SEE NANNIE'S EYE"........................now she comes down, and looks and says "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOUR EYE"...........................the only one who didn't say anything was the friggin "dog", and I'm sure if he could talk, he probably would have asked too.
We got to the school (grandson is at a dance, and had to pick him up on our way to the party)...............now he gets in the car (13), looks at me, and says "NAN YOUR BLEEDING FROM YOUR EYE"
Keep in mind there were going to be 5 of my other kids, at this party, and their families..........so I knew I was going to go through this at least 20 more times........................so when I made my entrance I said "I WILL SAY THIS ONCE, AND ALL GATHER ROUND TO HEAR IT, CAUSE I DO NOT PLAN ON REPEATING IT AGAIN................................I HAVE NO FRIGGIN IDEA WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY EYE........I AM NOT GOING TO THE ER, I WAS NOT STAYING HOME TONIGHT.........................AND IF I WAKE UP TOMORROW MORNING AND MY "EYEBALL" IS LAYING ON THE PILLOW, I WILL PUT IT IN A BAG, AND GO TO THE "EYE DOCTOR" IF HE HAS HOURS, AND FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT".......................
NOW SOMEONE POUR ME A GLASS OF SANGRIA, AND LET'S GET ON WITH THIS BIRTHDAY PARTY...........................END OF STORY.......................
-
Meece, glad you like it. I got Lemon, yum...
ducky, I loved that story about your family and I especially loved the story about the white butterfly.
Sheila, I'm so sorry you are feeling upset. The wedding and esp. your trip to Hawaii should be a fun time for you. I hope you feel better soon.
-
/sheila.........don't like to see you unhappy.............pllllleeeeaaasssee............just think, tomorrow I might wake up and find my eye on the pillow next to me.....................come on girlfriend...................don't be down.............hugs, and prayers.
-
Judy...............that story is so true, and it happens all the time.....................I told this story once before, but possibly on another thread.
I own a home down the shore, and my husband loved it........we only had it 6 years when he died of Pancreatic cancer.........I sitll have the house and continue to go down during the summer with 2 of my daughters.
We usually open up around Memorial Day, and on the first weekend we went down to "open up", while we were doing all the usual things that needed to be done, there was a white butterfly, constantly flying around the pool in the back yard.......sometimes it would come over near me, and sometimes go around my grandchildren who were playing while we were working....we all laughed, and said "Poppie's here"
That night we bought Chinese food for dinner, and everyone got the fortune cookie that they usually give you with you take out food.......................Everyone opened up their cookie, and read their fortune...............I was the last to go........................When I read it I was rendered speechless, and the kids said "Mom what's wrong"...............I handed them the little tiny paper, and on it it read............SOMEONE YOU LOVE IS VERY CLOSE TO YOU...................I still have that piece of paper in my wallet with my husband's picture beside it.............that was at least 10 years ago.............he has been dead 20..........So I do belive.
When my daughter got married, youngest one, he had already died.................I walked her down the aisle and as we started down the church doors were left open..............A white butterfly flew overhead right down the center aisle to the altar of the church........................as the Mass was going on this butterfly, kept circling around the altar, and everyone was watching in amazement................when the Mass was over, and my daughter walked back down the aisle the butterfly followed her out the door, and disappeared..............She was the only girl he didn't see married, and he said that was his one regret in dying.............but he was there...............
-
ducky, I cried the fiest time I read about the white butterfly and now I type through my tears again. I too believe our loved ones who have died are with us. Yours is such a beautiful experience.
-
Ducky, that made me cry too. How wonderful to experience the presence of someone you loved nearby. I will be looking for white butterflies now.
