Give it to me straight someone, please! Bladder cancer?

Options

OK I just need someone to just be straight with me and give me an opinion here. Everyone is so afraid to say anything but I've been down this road before!

2 weeks ago I was urinating blood. I go to Urgent Care and gave them a sample. Surprise! Blood but cultured and no infection.
That week my left kidney was hurting so I went to the doctor. He wanted me to do this and that. By the next day I was still in pain and went to the ER. Had a CT Scan done. I have several kidney stones and one that is 1/2 inch big! Still blood in urine.

Dr says: Kidney stones do not cause pain while they are in the kidney and they do not cause bleeding. I've had kidney stones before so I know for sure I did not pass a stone. I just have a achey-ness to my left kidney.

Deep breath...this is going on way too long...sorry!

Go to the Urologist, and surprise, blood in urine. He caths me and gets a 100% sterile sample...surprise again....blood in urine. He wants to cystoscope me.

I am BRCA2+ and post BRCA 5 years this April. Bilat mast. DIEP and hyster/ooph. I am not on Armidex or Tamoxifen. I refused them.

So someone tell me straight, is it likely bladder cancer really?

It is extremely rare to have breast cancer spread to the bladder.  That's not to say it's impossible but it isn't a normal place for it to spread.  I think cancer would have shown up on your CT, did he find any lesions?    It's possible previous stones have caused irritation and other problems, or maybe you have a tiny stone in the tract or something?

Good luck with your cystoscope, I hope they find some answers for you. It's likely not cancer so try not to worry too badly.

    OK! Thank you so much!

Nothing showed up on my CT scan in the kidneys but he said that bladder lesions can not be seen on a CT scan and that is why they need to do the cysto.

I asked if I could just have blood for no reason and he said it was rare to urinate blood for no reason and then he went on to say that the amount of blood I have is even more rare. I think that is when I started stewing about all of this.

    Thank you for your opinion!!
