Celebrate!! Diagnosed? A book contract, yep!

I was diagnosed on Januaray 10, 2010, the same week that I signed a contract to write my second craft/art how-to book. Today the publisher uploaded the "Look Inside" feature and it looks gorgeous. If you scroll to the end you will see an author photo of my head wrap and all.

That photo was taken between my 4th and 5th chemo treatment, the week before my next dose. I see such memories in this photo and am so very proud of my accomplishment in the face of my cancer treatment.  And I have not yet seen color images of the pages of my own book, so this is very exciting too.

I even painted a self portrait of myself bald as a ping pong ball and they featured it on the back cover! Take that cancer!

    I just scrolled through the images of your book - it is gorgeous!  You are a beautiful artist and have much to be proud of!  What a great example of how one person can go from the depth of diagnosis to the height of completing such a expressive, beautiful book in such a short period of time.  Congrats!  Liz

    Ohmygosh, it's GORGEOUS!!!! Huge congratulations to you!  Wow, that's an awesome accomplishment at any time, much less during cancer treatment!  Thanks for sharing!

    WOO-HOO!!  Congratulations!  What a beautiful book.  I will definitely order a copy as soon as it becomes available. Do you know the timeline?

    AZA, the book will be released April 10. 

    I am going to give a copy to my oncologist, breast surgeon and plastic surgeon. It is a true Thanks for extending my lease on life!
