Prayers for My Cousin
My world is turning upside down I went for my 4th treatment and was told that the Cat Scan they took showed something at the sight of the surgery (original tumor), it may be nothing but they would not give me the treatment and I am now scheduled for surgery April 4th (to say the least Im very sad, scared, etc ) you know what Im feeling. I was going to call you but my emotions are very high and I cant talk about it yet. I think of you daily and pray that this will all end for us soon. Love You.
PS: If you have any words of consolation/inspiration for her, please post them and I will pass them on. What I know is that if they find any cancer during the surgery, they will insert a catheter so the rest of her chemo can be pumped directly into her abdomen. This is a new tx they are doing for ovarian cancer (fallopian cancer is similar to ov. cancer), and from what I've read it is no picnic.

Kathy,
My prayers are with your cousin and I am sending cyber hugs and healing thoughts as well.
I hope it isn't a recurrence (?if right term?) and hope it is nothing. I too recently heard about pumping the chemo directly into the tumor. If she has to have this I hope it works its miracle.
Hugs to you both,

Hello Ladies, I just wanted to say thanks again for your prayers and positive thoughts and to give you a quick update on my cousin. She started her new chemo last week having it pumped into her peritoneal cavity. It is a very rough treatment and she was really struggling for the first few days, but now she is feeling better and thinks she will be able to handle it. She's scheduled for two more treatments, 20 days apart, and then they will rescan her to make sure she is still clear. If so, they will stop chemo and begin radiation to that cavity. If not, then she will continue with additional chemo. So things are not as good as they could be, but there is still hope.

Kathy,
still keeping your Beth in my prayers, I pray that the chemo will work and she can move on to rads.
hugs and prayers for you both~
