At MD Houston and worried

I've had back pain for many years and it has shown up on several PET Scans as well as MRI.  Well two months ago it showed up again and my local Onc said he didn't think it was cancer but wanted the MRI.  After MRI he said he thinks it is cancer.  I decided to do second opinion with MD.  It has been all heck trying to get in and saw Dr yesterday.  No biopsy has been done but she believes I have Metasistic (sp?) Bone Cancer.  My thought is that I had this pain before starting chemo after my Double Mastectomy so now all of a sudden three years later it is bone cancer?  I have another PET Scan, bone scan and MRI at MD tomorrow and Thursday and then f/u with Dr on Friday to hear results.  But still no biopsy.  They talked to me at length about a Radiation Study that would require me to be in Houston for almost three months.  I am willing to do that but would have to be here alone.  Does anyone know how would that work?
