Yep, the pictures on this site feed my soul!! Blue clouds Faith!!! That's a first for me!!!!

I used to teach some art forms and I am blessed with a good eye for photo as well. I had my niece with me last summer and what I told her was "Shoot for the nose hair, not the nose". Her pictures became AMAZING!!!! Most people leave too much empty space around their subject - little pin head people. She zoomed in on her flowers and they filled her frame with FABULOUS shots!! So -

Shoot for the nose hair, not the nose!!

So funny barbe-when DD was around 4 she was in a car with my sister & mom when someone did a driving infraction that caused my sister to cuss a blue streak, ending with a$$H_ L _! My daughter, in that back seat, piped up "Did you just say that man was a "nosehair"? How she got that translation my sis never knew but it became a new vocabulary word for our family. People who do ridiculously stupid stuff while driving (or while doing anything else for that matter) are NOSEHAIRS!!!!!

Wow, cool colouring Lisa!!

Joni that's too funny. I worked with someone who's little girl called her "private parts" fine china. I thought made a lot of sense. You bring it out only at special occassions, usually on the weekend, unless you're feeling frisky. You use it more when you are first married...etc. I was let down when my coworker said NO!! The girl misheard her say "vagina"!!!!!

I am so envious. I wish I could take such amazing shots. Going on vacation soon and will work on improving my photo taking and then try to figure out how to get them so they show up here.

ptdreamers, the best advice I can give you is to ZOOM IN!!!! So many people have little pin-head sized pics and it's such a shame!! They had the chance for the drama, but played it safe instead. Don't worry about anything except catching the magic, let your instincts place the subject in your view in a pleasing matter, and then zoom in!!! What I tell anyone I help is "Go for the nose hair, not the nose!" Everyone knows what a rose looks like, but how many people take the time to look deep into it's centre? See the difference?
