I was in witness protection....Is it safe to come back?????/
Are you all feeling better on this beautiful day
-
Of course you can come back - you didn't have to leave! I had a Giants fan in my house during the game!
I'm not really into hockey at all so I skipped to baseball.
-
No, she did have to leave, but just for a little bit. Welcome home, Sheila!
LOL on your daughters friend!
-
Actually my favorite was my grandson who was a QB for Carnagie Mellon University, and took them all the way to a championship in his senior year..................but that was 3 years ago, and I never missed a game.
My team is the Eagles........but since they did nothing, my favorite QB's are Tom Brady , and Mark Sanchez...(who looks and plays like my grandson)...........................but I have to say.....................I love Tim Tebow...................what a "class act" that guy is...............I guess I just love "football".....................of course then there are the Phillies.........who I never watch.....................if I want to see baseball, I go watch my 11 year old grandaughter, who is a "fast pitch" soft ball player............can that kid heave a ball.....................and then my 13 year old grandson (her brother) who is an amazing golfer................Can't wait for Spring.
-
I'm back....just in case I was missed, LOL! I slept on and off through the game last night, was recovering from 3rd chemo round. I couldn't even stay awake through all of Madonna. I was rooting for the Patriot's though. Normally I'm a Dallas fan (not a Jerrry Jones fan) and a Ranger's fan. So I didn't care too much one way or the other. I did wake up for all of the last ten minutes. Next year I want to make that edible stadium that someone posted a picture of on here and I want to eat lots of Doritos and drink lots of Margaritas. As soon as I am passed this chemo I am going to make anything I can into a celebration!!
-
Welcome bak Judy. Hope the chemo is manageable for you!
Ducky, I love watching fast pitch soft ball. Those girls can throw! Amazing!
Off to gym soo, meet you there ducky!
-
Yes we missed you Judy. Hope the worst of this tx is behind you and you are feeling better.
Ducky, I don't know how those girls can control where they are throwing doing that windmill pitch. Guess it takes practice. Glad you have all those talented grandchildren to go watch.
Have fun at the gym, Linda and Ducky! I need to get my fat a$ on the elliptical. Packed on the pounds in the last couple weeks. So mad at myself.
-
girl scout cookies...........................so not good for me. sooooo good!
-
You guys are so funny, wellllll.....I am a Dallas fan as you know, don't like the Eagles, can't stand hockey (unless my kids or Andrew is playing) baseball is wonderful, go to all the games the boys, grandchildren love it, can't wait for spring....andrew is playing basketball now, they are so cute and he is so little not sure he will make a basket over these bigger kids......
haven't gotten an GS cookies yet, daughter did tho...
wanted the patriots to win oh well....
there is something about Tim Tebow (his voice, sounds gay)....
witness protection, why Shiela...did you do something....
oh love this weather could get real used to it....
so frustrated with these kids can't they just go to school on time, or at all.......
welcome back Judy.....hope chemo is gentler with you.....
Sandy

No GS cookies for me, I would eat them in one sitting. Love the thin mints.
-
Visited Dad last night, he seems depressed, only answers questions, does not carry on any type of conversation. Also sleeps a lot. Sometimes he refuses to go down to the dining room to eat so they bring his food to him to eat at his kitchen table. I told him he has to get motivated or he will loose the use of his legs, he has a terrible time walking with his walker as it is right now. Have to put him in a wheelchair to go any long distance he gets very winded.

((((((Deb))))))
Anyone else notice the GS cookie boxes are much smaller than they used to be?
I don't have any GS cookies - just as well, though - I'm still recovering from all I ate and drank on Sunday....oink
-
My kids eat them, I have a few. I hate tthe thin mints so I make sure I but those!
Deb, I hope they exercise your dad. They should!

All the Girl Scout cookie talk has made me hungry. I got this recipe via email today. I will try it this weekend I think and see if it tastes good. Thought I would share it with you guys:
3, 2, 1 CAKE
These individual little cakes are amazing and ready to eat in one minute! They are perfect for whenever you feel like a treat without all the fat and calories that cake can have. Genius idea! INGREDIENTS: 1 box Angel Food Cake Mix 1 box Cake Mix - Any Flavor Makes 1 serving. (Keep reading) DIRECTIONS: In a Ziploc bag, combine the two cake mixes together and mix well. For each individual cake serving, take out 3 Tablespoons of the cake mix combination and mix it with 2 Tablespoons of water in a small microwave-safe container. Microwave on high for 1 minute, and you have your own instant individual little cake! KEEP remaining cake mixture stored in the ziploc bag and use whenever you feel like a treat! You can top each cake with a dollop of fat free whipped topping and/or some fresh fruit. Helpful Tips: This recipe is called 3, 2, 1 Cake because all you need to remember is "3 tablespoons mix, 2 tablespoons water, 1 minute in the microwave!" TRY various flavors of cake mix like carrot, red velvet, pineapple, lemon, orange, etc. Just remember that one of the mixes has to be the angel food mix; the other is your choice. The flavor possibilities are endless! NOTES: The best thing is, you open both cake mixes into a gallon storage bag, one that 'zip locks' or 'self-seals', or a container that seals tightly, shake the two cake mixes to blend and then make the recipe. Storage of mix is simple, put it on a shelf. No need to refrigerate, since the mix is dry. Always remember, that one of the cake mixes MUST be Angel Food. The other can be any flavor. The Angel Food is the cake mix that has the eggs whites in it.

Makratz.............My children were very good in sports too, maybe it was in the genes..................believe it or not so was my husband............he played football in high school, was on a championship Basketball team, was an amazing baseball player, and had a bowling average of 180, so I guess that is where they got their talent..............
Thank God the grandchildren did all they do, otherwise I would have gone nuts..........after losing my husband life was so lonely, I turned to my children and grandchildren for comfort..........all them playing sports gave me literally something to do almost every night in the spring, summer was down the shore, and fall brought football.......................they played from when they were tiny kids in "flag football" all the way through college.
Now I have 2 grandsons in college who play for Franklin and Marshall, and a grandaughter 16 who plays volleyball as a sophomore in high school, and already is being scouted and recruited by some of the colleges...........she is 5 ft. 8in at 16............
Then I have the 2 younger ones who golf, and do fast pitch softball.....................don't know what I would do without them...............
I do look forward to "football season" once the shore season is over..................not as "good" as I use to be with the running around, but I make sure I get there, just a little slower.............and the wonderful thing is how much they appreciate me being in the stands ...........Both college boys, as soon as they come on the field, look into the stands, and blow me a kiss.................pretty brave for 6ft. 200 lb. football players in front of the team.....................
Thank God for family...............................hugs
-
Awwwww - they blow you a kiss - so sweet. I love it when big, hulky guys aren't afraid to show their feelings.
Judy - I am going to try that cake recipe! Need to get some Angel Food cake mix. My microwave is on its last legs though - so I don't know if it will turn out right.
I need a new microwave, but of course they don't make one like this anymore. In order to get all the features this one has, I have to buy a bigger one I don't have room for. Grrrr. I guess I don't need all the features this one has, but it would be nice if I wanted to use them to have them. Good thing I don't like to cook!
((((((((TOL)))))))))

That's so sweet Ducky. My boys are at the stage that they would flip me off if I even look at them!
Sheila????????????
-
Naughty boys - and after all you do for them? Hope they get over it soon.
-
I need to burn calories so I can eat that 3-2-1 cake!
-

-

So happy to see you smiling!
-
Great............my girlfriend is back.....................good to see you smiling again.............and you must be doing ok..................your slapping again....................slap them a couple times for me too.........................
Makratz.............It does my heart good when my grandsons do the things they do...........I also had another grandson who went to Carnagie Mellon University..........Now he is 28 year old with a fantastic job.....living in Chicago........but he was the same way................He won the NCAA championship when he QB'd his team.............From when I first started watching him as soon as he came on the field, he would look up in the stands, and wave, and then throw me a kiss too, and after every score.......while I was standing and cheering and shouting my mouth off for him, he would put his thumbs up, put his hand on his heart, and point to the sky...........my husband..........his Poppie who died was his inspiration, and he swore he watched him at every game..............that is becaue we believe the "white butterfly" is a sign of a passed love one coming back to be with you..........................every game a white butterfly (regardless of the weather) would be flying "in the stands", and down to the field, and circle around his head.........................he swore it was his Poppie...........
No matter where I am, or who is around..........my grandsons always come to me, and give me a kiss and a big hug................they are wonderful, and not ashamed of an old lady who loves them very much.
My sons are the same way...............I guess that is who they learned from...............my 3 daughters, and grandaughters too, but I always think for "boys, or men" it is a little harder for them to show their affection around their friends..................but mine never found that to be a problem.........................I often wondered if it was an Italian thing, until I saw one of my Irish son-in-laws do the same thing.................My children and grandchildren are my life..............
