I just got a call from the radiologist and my mammo on my remaining breast is questionable.  They want me back on Wed.  I was looking forward to my three year survivor anniversary next month.  I am trying not to cry and am losing.  Coming back here was my first thought.  Would you please hold my hand again?

nancypat - That stinks.  I will stay with you.  ((((Hugs))))  Hopefully they are being super careful and it is nothing serious.

Of course we will. It's normal to cry. What kind of person would you be if you didn't mind having a recurrence? I had to get some ativan from my family doctor to help me.

Nancypat, I am here to hold your hand!  Also available are gentle hugs, prayers if you wish, and tons of positive vibes headed your way!  Hang in there - hoping for benign findings - either way, we are here for you!

I'm in the same boat--it's my 3 yr anniversary and I have to go in next Tues for a spinal MRI and chest x-ray.  This just never ends, does it?  I'm not holding it together very well.  What can we do until next week to get our minds off of worrying?  Lots of cable movies?

I see that you are in Arvada.  I moved to SC from Lakewood nearly a year ago.  I hope you are staying warm.  The news said you are getting hit pretty severely with the weather.

Sorry you are having to go through this.  You are right.  It is something we always look over our shoulder for but how do you prepare yourself when you actually see it's catching up with you?  I honestly didn't know how I would react and I have to say I'm not holding it together too well either.  It's the waiting that is so hard.  Do you like horror movies?  I think that's the only thing that could distract me now.  I wish there was something that could just make our minds shut up!

Wow!  I just noticed our diagnosis was so similar.  Did you have a mastectomy?  I already know that I can't go through chemo again.  We will have to stay in tough and see each other through.

Thank you Omaz.  I can't tell you how much your support means to me.  You are all so very kind and with your help; I believe I am in good hands.  I do feel a lump and it is painful.  My thoughts are so scattered.  I thought my mammo was the day before yesterday.  It was yesterday and they told me that it would be a week before they had the results and they would notify my doctor.  But, their policy with a cancer survivor is to call the patient first if there is any question.  I know it sounds as though I'm putting the horse before the cart.  I just can't help it.

Oh, ma111.  I forgot to tell you that I have a precription for Lorezapam (generic Ativan) and I am thankful.

nancypat - Hang in there!  When is the earliest you will here?  Do you have any favorite tv series to watch or movies?  Did you ever like the old Dick Van Dyke show?  That's one of my favorites.

What a small world!  You lived in Lakewood so it sounds like we were neighbors.  I used to live in Savannah, GA.  It's been snowing all day here and I love it.  Started sewing, but then got the call.  I was expecting to have the MRI, but it still caught me off guard and had a mini-meltdown.  I LOVE having my Xanex.  I don't take it often, but it's sure nice knowing it's on my top shelf for days like these.  Trying to watch TV to get my mind off.  Now I'm going to read a bit and get to sleep.

Let's keep in touch through the wkend and help each other through, k?

Hey Omaz!  I'm not sure.  I go back for another mammo Wednesday but don't know when they will tell me anything.  I hope it's that day.  I am really into Downton Abbey.  It is so good.  It will be coming on tonight on PBS.  The first series is on Netflix.  I like watching American Idol too.  I feel so embarrased for some of the people but my heart soares listening to others.  I wish everyone who has a dream could see it realized.

Hey Denali!  I hope you were able to sleep last night.  Have you seen the movie Warhorse?  I nearly cried in a few spots.  Yes, we were neighbors.  I'm from the mountains of NC but and was living in Lakewood when my son called me on Mother's Day to tell me they were expecting their first child and he wanted me to come home.  So now I live around the corner.  The baby is a month old now and is just like his daddy.  I hope you have plenty of food stocked up.  I saw on the news last night that you were going to get even more snow!  I will stay in touch!!

I hope it all turns out okay for you - and I'm sure it will. I will be having my first mammo post diagnosis this Wednesday also, and I'm a little nervous, so we'll hold each other's hands!

    nancypat,

Glad you found a partner for through the weekend. I said a prayer for you and I wish you all the best. Glad you also have the medicine. It helps me so much with decreasing the crying spells.

Many thanks to all of you for your kind words, prayers and support.  My connection went down for three days and I am so thankful to have it back!!  I have been lucky in that my kids have made a concerted effort to keep me so busy that I haven't had much time to think.  I go back to the imagining center tomorrow.  My son is taking me.

I hope you made it through the weekend and the snow Denali.  My thoughts are with you today as you go through having your MRI and chest x-ray.  Please let us know how things went.

I just went through the same thing, it was devastating, but I ahve also made it to the other side and am healing. I cried me a river, then had a second mastectomy, looking back, I am not sure how I got through it a second time, but I did. Keep posting, keep reaching out for support, we are here...

Thank you Michelle and my love back to you!  I am very glad that you did get through it a second time crystalphm.  My sincere thanks to each and every one of you!!  I can not sufficiently put into words what your thoughts, prayers and support have meant to me.  All of you were holding my hand Wednesday.  Another mammo was done as well as an ultrasound.  After reviewing both of them, the doctor assured me that all was well.

I am hoping very much that all is well with you Denali and madpeacock.  Please let us know.
