To all the ladies going through surgery and chemo hell right now, know that there IS a light at the end of the tunnel.
-
You look FABULOUS! Glad things are much better this Feb!
-
Hi, Suz46 - welcome to BCO.

bumpity-doo-dah...

Bumping this up to encourage all the sisters in the throes of chemo. It gets better!
-
Ahh, thanks for keeping this thread alive Windlass.
-
It's one of my all-time favorites, Jenny. Whenever I am feeling discouraged, I just look at your pictures. Thank you again!
-
Windlass, same here. When I feel all frustrated and annoyed, I remind myself: "Jenny has hair, you will have hair one of these days."
-
Ahhhh, ya'll are so sweet. I'm so glad my hair means so much
When I posted this I had no idea it would mean so much....even though that was my intention. You will get there ladies, we all will.
-
You should be damn proud of those photos. You're beauitful in both of them. Thank you for sharing them with girls like me, who need to be reminded about a happy ending.
-
I am about 2 inches into my new curly? hair. Still wearing wig in public though. Can't wait until I can put it away! You look great in your pics!! Both of them!!
-
Bumping this to encourage all the new ladies here. It does get better!
-
For all the new ladies just joining us, look at beautiful Jenny and know that you will make it!
And thrive!!
-
I am currently in the bottomless hell of chemo. Had my 4th A/C yesterday. Hopping on the taxol/herceptin train in 2 weeks. I can only wish I look half a beautiful as you do a year from now. Thank you for the courage to post your pics. I know some people do not like to be called inspirational, but these pictures truly are for someone like me!!!
-
Hi, Momof2: I know right where you are, and it's so hard! I now have 3" of beautiful wavy thick hair myself, so it does come back. And all the side effects of the chemo go away too. I just worked out 90 minutes today! I never thought I'd be able to do that a year ago.
-
Thanks for your kind words Momof2...keep up the fight, it will get better and we're here whenever you need us.
-
Oh, thank you so much for posting this picture! I looked at myself in the mirror, wondered if I would ever have a pretty thought again, then wondered what it will be like in one year! And there was your picture! Thank you so much! It is so inspirational. And the tunnel is such good imagery. I felt like I've been in a dark tunnel and just now (made it through #4 A/C) taxol, herceptin rads to go, but am feeling just a little bit of light. Your picture helped. Thank you!
-
There is light at the end of the tunnel Denise. Before you know it all this will be behind you and you'll be moving on. Take each day as it comes, sometimes each hour and it will get better.
-
Jenny, Thank you so much for starting this thread. I come here daily to look at your pictures. I even show my DH and say "hopefully that's what I will look like in year!" It has been such an inspiration to me as I'm still bald and have two more Taxols to go. I'm ready for the growth to begin!
Thank you again!
-
Hey, you look great - doesn't even look like the same person. I began chemo in July 2011, finished in November and then had 36 days of daily radiation and just began on Arimidex. Just the other day I had my scarf off and someone commented that my hair is coming back relatively fast. It's still very short but hey, in about 2 months even the scarf will go and I can't wait. Taxotere took my fingernails also and shock of all shocks was how fast they came back.
Congrats, you are one brave woman to allow your before pic taken! Best of luck to you and all of us here!
-
I too am in the middle of bald chemo hell. Just finished FEC now on to Taxol/Herceptin. I needed this today :-)
Jenn -
Happy to have nice hair again myself!
-
You look incredible. Thanks so much for posting xxx
-
Bump. Jenny you are such an inspiration! I am so looking forward to the growth to start!
-
Thanks for the photos! All of you look amazing and give me a lot of hope. I thought that being bald and wearing different wigs would some how be fun but I don't find it fun at all. I can't wait to get hair back. I'm just a month away of being done with taxol (two more!). Can't wait to leave this behind. Lovely forum!
