Bra Help Please

I'm 4 treatments into my radiation and I'm already showing some redness and soreness.  The doctor wants me to go without a bra as often as possible or wear a tank with a shelf.  I'm a natural 40D - DD so this really isn't going to work for me especially with work.  Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to use.  I probably could get away with the tank with a shelf but can't find them anywhere that are also spande which I don't want - I want loose comfort.

Any help is much apprecited!

    Hi Kayce234,

    Go online and type in TLC Catologe . They have really good camisole's that have shelfs built in to them.I bought the Amoena brand that are better than any other brand I have bought from other company's. The Amoena brand has the best support.  I hope it helps you. They have been wonderful for me. God speed with your Radiation and recovery.

    Glad to see this posted. My RO said not to wear a bra during radiation. I'm 71 and they are no longer perky, to say the least. I wear a 38D and they're going to rub against my chest without a bra. I have a couple of camisoles with a shelf bra, but the shelf elastic rubs underneath and provides absolutely no support. I sew and am thinking of making a couple of lined camisoles which might make the lack of bra less obvious. I will check the TLC catalog.

    No one has told me not to wear a bra and I am a size B.  I was told that if clothes start to rub the skin, to powder on corn starch in the morning, rinse off at the end of the day and apply moisturizing cream at night.  I can't stand the thought of not wearing a bra during the day, so hopefully, I'll be able to the entire time.

    When I first started having all my biopsies, I needed a loose bra to stuff the ice packs into, as well as have a little support at night without any compression.

    I went to Target, and in their lingerie section, found an inexpensive nursing bra made by Basics. I got the XL size, and I was a 38DD/38DDD. They were not constricting at all, but did provide a small amount of support at night.

    It looks just like a sports bra, only lighter weight, and can be pulled on over the head, or used as a step-in.

    I tried the camis with shelf bras and they didn't work for me at the size I was.

    Is there any such thing as a bra for only one breast?  I really wish that there was something available like that.
