Cellulitis Aggravitis
I have cellulitis in my arm (again) and it's doing some neat tricks that it didn't do last year when I had it. It's appearing on my (swelled up, painful) arm and about an hour after I take the keflex, it disappears...only to reappear in another hour or so. A'la peanut butter sandwiches!!!!!!!
I thought I was losing what little mind I have left, and the sweet nurse at my onco.'s says that, oh YES, cellulitis can do this. WHO KNEW???? I sure didn't.
So....they are now putting me on cipro. The fun never ends!!!!

Ah, shoot! Hope it clears up quickly/

That stinks! I remember how painful it was, especially when it went into my arm.
So far (knock on wood) I haven't had anymore cellulitis flares since my reconstruction. NJ

Suzy, my LE therapist calls LE "Whack a mole"--that's what this rotten cellulitis is doing--popping up and disappearing again.
Remember when Nordy put up a thread about cellulitis: she wrote Cellulitis: this is such b@llsh@t
Hope it goes away and stays away.

Suzybelle,
Sorry you have cellulitis! I am on Keflex this week to ensure I don't flare up after surgery this past Monday for my two area's of skin cancer I ignored for a number of years, on my flank and stomach of all places!! Oops!
Anyway - to give you a laugh I will update you on the 'Lotus Dragon tattoo' sleeve - yes, it arrived and it's first outing was during my hospital visit and surgery!!! The LPN assisting the doc got first glance at my sleeve and said 'I didn't have you down as someone that would have a tattoo!' Lol, it matches my skin perfectly, especially with the right length sleeve to cover the diamond band I should look great!!!
I did confess it wasn't a real tattoo, especially as I hate needles and he was jabbing me to numb me up!
Hope the cellulitis goes soon!

Ah Suzy--bummer! I hope the new antibiotic does the trick. Becky

Sorry you are having to deal with this, Suzy. Hope it goes away soon!
Love the whack a mole analogy.
-
Suzy! I am sorry you are dealing with this crap again! I hope the cipro works as it should and you soon kick the cellulitis to the curb!
-
I am laughing so hard at the title to this thread!!! Then I read Whack a Mole!!!
Its a sucky sucky SE and I hope the antibiotics work swiftly! Your humor is awesome! -
Hi, Ladies - thanks for the kind words...the cellulitis is much better and now I'm dealing with the aftermath of no MLD, wrapping, night sleeve, etc. My arm is kinda fat right now.
But it's all good - I'll get it back down and be back to normal (which means I'll be back to being abnormal.) in no time.
Hope you guys have a great Superbowl Sunday!

Oh, Suzie, I love good news!
Sorry about the fat arm -- how incredibly frustrating! But sooooo glad you know how to get it all back into control. Hope the team you're rooting for wins!

Happy to hear things are looking much better Suzy. Becky

Hang in there, Suzy! You have good tools and a great attitude!
