Jenn -- I've been less active myself here... SO busy with work and shopping and end of the year stuff.  There always seem to be more social obligations this time of year (parties but also just events of one kind or another).  Glad you're enjoying the season!  The tea sounds fantastic.

Penny -- what Jenn said.  You're so welcome.  Here's wishing you and your mom a happy holiday season.

And to all the rest of you -- the same!

I went to see New Year's Eve yesterday.  It had a ton of bad reviews, but I liked Valentines day and really wanted to see it.  DD#2 and I went to the 4:20p show, but due to the enormous amount of trailers and advertisements didn't start watching umtil 4:45p.  There was 25 minutes of ads.  Crazy business!  Anyway, we both liked it.

I agree it looks like a cute movie (and I also liked Valentine's Day).  I didn't realize it had gotten bad reviews.  Oh well.  Glad you liked it!

Jenn - I was routing for your Saints yesterday. Bummer - so close!

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Gill - thanks for pulling for our beloved Saints.  That was a hard loss.  My DH is still pouting.  He wakes up, reads the paper, then I kid you not everday since the loss says with a pout, that should be us playing this weekend. We did have my mom, sister, MIL, FIL and our friends Eddie and Eileen over for the game, grilled and ate too much, but having friends over for a get together was fun.

Hello my August friends. It's been a while since I checked in.  Thank you for your support here and other threads and PMs.  It is appreciated beyond words.

I finished WBR Wednesday.  All went well for getting my brain fried.  Like breast radiation, you don't feel anything, zap, zap, jump off the table and head out.  I am experiencing fatigue towards the afteroon, but for all of my running with errands and the wedding I'm hanging in there (so far) as well as my mom and sister.  My appetite, thanks to steroids is up there.  I do notice a little balance issues, but not too bad. I just check my footing when I'm walking on an uneven surface. My memory isn't gone, but I do notice I am a bit absent minded on some things, but not enought to disrupt life.  I just keep a notebook and write to do lists and "things on my mind" so that I don't forget, so far, so good.   And..........as we all know steroids come with their mess of SE's.  Oh...........I have chubby, fat, chipmunk cheeks and neck.  I feel like I could poke my face and it would pop, but I may lose my lips and nose in the fat before then. Hehehehehehehehehehe.

I hope all is going well with all of you. Jenn

Jenn -- so glad to hear from you!  Sounds like a wonderful night (the game night).  I was in Boston last weekend and watched the Patriots game on TV with a bunch of my family (which was very fun).  I don't usually watch football but I can SO see why you and your family have such a good time.

Glad you're bearing up during these treatments and that you're keeping your sense of humor firmly in place!

We've had about 15 inches over the last 3 days. Hope yours turns out to be three rather than six. Or none - even better!

SNOW! I can't even imagine.  We had a "smow storm" a few years ago and it shut us down for a few  hours.  funny really,   We've had the mildest winter I can remember in years.  I've put on a light jacket or long sleeve shirt so far this year, no coats needed.  Today I actually wore long bermuda style shorts it was so nice out.

Good luck with the snow, I hope it doesn't mess up the day for any of you and stay warm.  It sounds like a warm soup, read a book time.

Oh Jenn - a bit of warmth sounds nice. I'm not complaining too much, we have hardly had any snow until this week. But now I have turned into an always cold wimp, winters are a bit harder to handle. Ah well - spring is not that far away!

Jenn -- it's been pretty mild up here as well (so far).  The storm was beautiful to watch and I think we've ended up with around 5 inches (maybe 6).... the local boy came and shoveled us out already so I think we're fine.

Gill -- 15 inches!  Wow.  That is a WHOLE lotta snow.  I hope by now you've been plowed and are able to get out and about.  We definitely did a "snow day" today.

We're still having a mild winter.   We had news of freezing weather moving in, bundle up, yadda, yadda, yadda.  Woke up each morning, it was cold, but not miserable.  Actually didn't need a coat, just a light weight jacket, long sleeve shirt or light cover.  By mid-day it was back to the 60's or more.  I had to laugh.  Even this morning the weather lady said that's the end to our freezing weather until next weekend.  I was in shorts by yesterday afternoon!

I'm doing okay.  I'm tired a LOT, but for some reason like a child I fight sleep.   Consequently, I sleep in 2 hour increments, there about.  I need to relax - maybe up the Xanax???  I'll have to ask.  I've also noticed that I am losing feeling on the bottoms of my feet and that my legs are weak I had to get a rail for the tub after having a minor issue trying to get out.  Overall, I am doing okay.  I am still running errands, shopping, dinner, movies, etc.

Hope all is well and that all of you have a great day!   (((Jenn)))

Good to hear from you Jenn. Seems like you are coping with the changes in what you can do. And you are doing some fun things, right? Sounds  like neuropathy with your feet?

All is well here - but I'm tired of being cold! I'm still working hard on the podcast enterprise. We think we'll have 12 podcasts, 15-20 minutes long ready to release weekly early in April. We still have lots of "other" work to do - getting our website up and running, learning how to handle a site/connection to allow downloads/receive payments and the paypal thing. All new stuff to learn! But it is exciting and fun, while still being work.

Jenn -- love the good spirits -- keep it up!  And check with your doctor about the bottoms of your feet.  That sounds unusual and worth discussing.  Glad it's warm there -- winter is just not fun.  As Penny says, it's been a warm winter for us here but hey it's still below freezing on many days!  If you get a chance, go see the movie HUGO -- it is a really good flick.

I just wanted to check in to say hello.  I'm doing okay, keeping a little busy with y DD's wedding which comes up 03/02.  Our winter is still somewhat warm.  I'm going to get spoiled.

Offically Mardi Gras kicks off tonight, but the weather isn't looking so good.  Hopefully the rain moves in early and just leaves the ground a little wet for the people going to parades.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend.  Jenn
