You know you are looking tired when the girl at the drugstore asks if you are 55 or older!!!!Hello!?!?? still 49!! (big black rungs under my eyes though so....might be time to hit the make up counter)...in goes the young cashier!!
-
Sandee...Oy Vey! Ya know dear...I've got a big concealer stick that I use EVERY DAY. Costs about 8 Bucks! And, in the morning, as I apply it from under one eye to the other I say to myself as I look in the mirrow, "Five years...Ten years, Voila! VR, you look BEAUTIFUL and YOUNGER!" And that's how I start my day! All Fapitzed! If you don't own a concealer...trust me...it's worth the investment!

fapitzed Yiddish for "all dolled up." Can be used to mean "looking your best" or "dressed to kill." You use this word when you are trying to say that you put effort into your appearance to make sure you look good.I'm all fapitzed with no where to go.
Is this too fapitzed for that birthday party? -
My Grandma was the type who was always early. So she'd be ready to go whever she was going before it was time to go and then would straighten the house (again). So her SILs would say "Gertie gets all fapitzed just to clean the house!" They meant it as a compliment and she took it that way.
And her house was all fapitzed too.
Leah
VR, thank you for using the word - no one else I know uses it any more. Did you know you could miss a word?
-
Leah...We have a store in the neighborhood called Fapitzed!
I'm telling you...that word rocks!
-
If you have any Jewish friends you know what the word means. When ever i get dressed up my friend says HEY YOU ARE ALL FAPITZED.it has a nice sound to it.
-
Granny... Somehow I would have guessed when you got dressed.. You really got fapitzed!
-
I've got a great idea.... Let's all meet down by the bonfire and help one another get fapitzed!
-
VR-I know its because i come from brooklyn!!!!!!!
-
Yep! Granny! All roads lead back to Brooklyn!
-
Or from Brooklyn (I was born there!)
Leah
-
And now for a little Brooklyn entertainment....
Back in the day...This is why we used to all get fapitzed! That's our turf..Granny! And Leah's too!
-
I was just gettin separated when that movie came out.BUT I have been to that club.it was on 65th st.and 7th ave in Bensonhurst....Boy did i get fapitzed to go there!!!!!
thanks for the fond memories.Wish i could still wear those clothes i wore back then.ha.
-
I went there too! Oh don't you just love polyester? Then again, maybe it belongs in the bonfire!
-
nah i dont like polyester.it makes you sweat.cant dance too much in it....right after that club i switched to latin dancing and there was no polyester there....ya wanna talk about fapitzed.when you go to a latin club you get dressed like you are going to a wedding.
yeah we betta burn the polyester!!!!
-
I never heard that word and i have Jewish friends.
I had to google it....Now I know
-
Alright, I haven't read all of these, but I did read the first 4 or 5 pages and am in LOVE with this thread. Wow, it warms my butt so nicely when I stand with my back to this fire - aaaahhhh!!!
I wanna throw in the THREE pathologists, yes THREE who all missed my 3 mm of IDC inside my extensive DCIS. I just today found out I am HER2 positive and 4 months AFTER my BMX will be getting a delayed start on chemo. Thank God for the 4th amazing pathologist, she is welcome to stand and warm her ass by the fire with me ANY day!!!
Burn, burn, burn away!!! That's what you get for not studying my slides the way you would have if it were your mother's or sister's. I am more than a number!!!!
Ah, that felt good. Great thread!!!
-
Wow.. Dancetrancer... Good thing you found our bonfire!!!! The fire is real hot now!
-
That's cause pathologists have all kinds of lovely chemicals on them from their work...they burn extra hot!

Hi all! Its been awhile since I've had to burn anything, but I do read daily what gets burnt. Well now I have something to burn. I want to burn the office manager where I work. OMG he clueless. I dont know how many times I have to tell him over and over the same dang thing, grrrrr! Then he has the nerve to put a video clip up on my pc about the right foods to eat for joint issues, really!!!!! I understand that eating right is important, but give me a break! So into the fire he goes!!!!!!!!
Happy Friday all!
-
Paula... The video clip is going into the fire too! Hope that makes you feel even better!
