Does anyone know a good product for undereye circles?

Somebody recommended Korres to me, and I went to Sephora to purchase it. I was amazed that the list of ingredients for the American version of Korres was so vastly different from the European one. It had about 3X the ingredients, some with names I couldn't pronounce! It just goes to show that we don't have enough regulation on our beauty products in this country..... wondering how I can get my hands on a European version of Korres.....

I like Lavare products, I can get them at the grocery store and they have a online sale on at the moment.

I ordered it from mountain rose herbs. They charge quite a lot for shipping, though. I am really into organic jojoba oil used in the shower as a body moisturizer, as it seems to be perfect (not too oily) for winter. running low and was planning to check out whole foods to see if I could find it there. I have found that, while I was able to use oil on my face during chemo, it's just too oily for me now. Will let you know if whole foods carries the sweet almond oil.

FLwarrior-I use the coconut oil and I buy it at the health food store or Whole Foods.  I make sure I use organic, cold pressed.  The ones I have used do have a coconut smell but the smell does not linger. When I started using it on my face I realized I was using too much.  I now use very little just enough to put on my face and it absorbs in.  I use more on my legs as they tend to be try and again it absorbs in. I live in Texas and did not find it to be a problem this past summer.  The only thing different is in the summer on my face I use the coconut oil at night and I use a lotion during the day, but in the winter I use the coconut oil on my face at night and during the day.

I think the brands I have purchased is the Nutiva and the Whole Foods brand.

Thanks ladies!  I have 2 health food stores that I go to fairly often and I will check to see what each of them offers.  The Whole Foods is in the next county over, so I have never been there...I guess I should go for a drive and check it out too. 

bumping for Shore

I stumbled upon a website www.theallnaturalface.com that sells vegan make up.  I bought some of their products and I have been very happy with them.  Their prices are reasonable.

shore1, I heard the same about lavender, grapefruit and soy.  If it's in lotion it would be absorbed through the skin.  Question is how much we believe the reports about what to avoid.  I do avoid all three without driving myself crazy; rather be safe than sorry.

I have found the ladies at Sophora to be very helpful.  I have told them I want good natural stuff and they are good with showing me the better brans.  They really do know their products.

Peggy-I would take the ADA recommendations with a grain of salt because they still refuse to warn about the dangers of flouride. Flouride is especially bad for us because it displaces iodine in our breast tissue and stays there, leaving us with toxic breasts. There was a recent accident in my state where a truck spilled the flouride they were to add to the water and it burnt a hole in the concrete parking lot! There is a town in India that has very high flouride in their water and everyone has rotten teeth. Flouride is toxic and we need to avoid it. Many toothpastes are now putting xilytol in them in place of flouride. It is a simple sugar and has been shown to kill mouth bacteria. You can also try oil pulling with sesame oil or coconut oil. Just google oil pulling for lots about it. This is what my dentist recommends. She was written up in O magazine as one of the best docs and is coming out with a book soon. She is all about no flouride, mercury, etc and is helping me to restore my mouth. In case you all have not found the info, there is a lot of evidence linking breast health to dental health, and even connecting root canals to bc. Do the research and you will be astounded.

vivre and SherryC, thanks for your info on toothpastes. I tried SPRY xilytol and it does taste good. Hopefully it will be effective. (BTW vivre, you probably know this but when you are having mercury fillings removed you want to make sure they use good practices. It's kind of like those asbestos ceiliings; done carelessly, the removal can expose you to more risk than if you left them in place)

Sherryc, thanks also for your recommendation on going to Sephora. They were really helpful. Unfortunately, on the two items I wanted, they were out of stock on my shade (they had samples but no products to buy). I plan buy them from the Sephora website this time, since they have such a good return policy. i.e. I can return them if I don't like them.  But going forward, I may try to find a discount place.

Does anyone know of a place that discounts Tarte or Korres cosmetics?

You ladies are on the mark. There was an article just came out on Medscape for drs telling them they are finding a lot of parabens in the tumors they removed and did some questionnaires and found that some of the folks didnt even use deodorant so it wasnt the source. (I'M like where are those folks...on the city bus..lol) Cant imagine they'd use makeup. My PS has Jane Iredale in her office for face surg patients but I wanna clean out my makeup. One place I found Lavera but hard to find such and pricy.
