Granny:What do you expect me to do?  Get pregnant again at my age so I can have a grandson??  Not all of us have grandsons much less "nice" ones to do us favors.  I was busy taking my DD who has a very serious chronic medical problem to see her specialist and had to sit there for hours!  Maybe when you cure bc, you can work on a cure for her and next campaign, we can ALL go to the post office and send tons of letters.   I did what I could for "this" campaign.  My letters were sent but I had to depend upon my nice mail lady.  Anyway, I was told that no matter what time of day we send mail, it ALL goes out from the post office at a certain time of night.  If yours gets there faster, it is because you must have paid for Priority mail.

I did not get the idea Merilee expected ALL the letters to arrive at the White House today.  I thought we were expected to at least try to MAIL them today.  If I am wrong and my letters arrive after all the others, maybe Obama and Boehner will decide to actually read it since they will love my adorable big "pink" ribbon I drew on each envelope with pink marker.

BTW, was there really a "snowstorm" in New Jersey today??  Frankly, I would not have insisted my grandson (if I had one) go anywheres in a snowstorm.   I do hope that precious child in your avatar is not the kid who froze going to the post office!

Umm, I'm confused and not really sure if I'm a day late again, but I sent a lovely letter today.  It was a wonderful brain child, filled with witty and scathing things without offence that really got the point across - I don't know how I managed it, but it went so fast I think some angels were tapping at the keys instead of me.

I forgot to put a pink ribbon on it, but I did liven it up with a Christmas stamp.  May the Good Lord strike fear into their hearts and get their butts in gear!

Granny:  Then maybe I misunderstood what Merilee expected from us because I thought we were all to mail them today and she even realized they would not all get there together.   Whenever all the letters arrive, it will still be for the same cause and that is what is most important.  However, that was very kind and thoughtful of you to put out the money because you thought she wanted the letters all to "arrive" today.  I just hope enough were sent to make a difference.

Merilee:  Do you have any idea about how many letters were sent to Washington, Monday?  It would be great to get some feedback from you so we can know how it all ended up.  Thanks!

Hi, I know of at least 1000 letters that were sent by my contacts. Not sure how anyone else did.
