Hi Ceeztheday! Nice to meet you!
-
Hello Gina. Nice to meet you too. Let me know if you're ever in south, south, south, south Texas.
-
Sherry - Another get together would be great but later on in the summer. I know Ceeztheday and I are still dealing with the Winter Texans. We could ride up together.
-
Jo that would be fun to get together in the summer
-
I agree!
-
Hello everyone. This is cool, I didn't know there was a Texas thread. Thanks Sagina! I live in Mansfield.
-
Hi Judy - So glad you could join us. There was a great get together last Aug and we all had a great time. Hope we see you on here often.
-
Would love to join the get together! Jo- DH and I have a Chevy van that is really nice for a road trip.
-
When I do a get together with the girls, DH stays home. Someone has to take care of the dogs. Besides, he would be bored spitless - LOL!
-
I would love to join this group! I live in Houston.
-
CristlC - Welcome!! If we have to be here, the more the merrier. Glad you are here.
-
YAY !!! CristiC another Houston girl..... where are you located?
-
Bump bump bump, were we gonna meet at and when?
-
Gina I could meet you for lunch on Wed
-
Which way are you driving back? I'm closer in to downtown at work. I could escape for a little longer than a hour but not much more....sad face....
I have a training session this Saturday for a retreat, but how bout you check your schedule and maybe my DH and I can drive up one Saturday and meet yall for lunch? We don't mind day road trips....kind of how we started to date....I was so overwhelmed after my parents were hit by a drunk driver, he asked what he could do for me (weeks after the accident) and I said drive me away from all this for a little while. There as a red rose on the seat when he picked me up (so I could stop the smell the flowers) and he drove from sa to roundrock and back in silence....just so I could breath....13 years later we still love a day drive.
-
Tracie23 - I work downtown and live in the Garden Oaks/Heights area.
-
Well I would be interested in SA in the summer too. I'm in the Dallas area.
-
Where are all the Texas girls? This thread has been very quiet lately. I know summer is several months away but is it too early to start tossing around ideas of where we would like to meet and who would be available?
-
I am game. As long as we get it planned then I can make arrangements. I'm open to whatever anyone else wants to do. There is lots to do in San Antonio, but Austin has alot of good places as well.
-
Sherry - I would rather not drive in Austin. I do better getting around San Antonio BUT will go with what is most convenient for everyone else.
-
JO I have to agree San Antonio is easier to get around in than Austin. But with the help of a GPS I can usually find my way.
-
I am also in the Dallas area. Maybe we DFW ladies need to meet up for lunch or something on weekend day.
Becky
-
Becky,
I'm also a DFW girl. Lunch would be great.
My Mom's in SA so I don't mind doing a weekend trip.
Trish
-
I am in Richmond just outside of Houston and work in Sugar Land. I am all for getting together this summer and let me toss my vote in for austin (I will cart you around JoJo----just get there and park it:) But hell, I would be happy anywhere meeting up with everyone...Maybe by this summer I will have one or two brain cells that actually work:)
I will be going to NYC in May and will be meeting up with some ny folks and I can't wait.
-
I'm weighing in for San Antonio. I have a niece there & i can stay with them. If I could have chosen a Texas City to live in - it would have been San Antonio, but we go where the jobs are, right? That said - I'll go to Austin if that's the final decision.
-
I will go wherever the majority wants. Annette - I would take you up on your offer. Driving in Austing scares the shit out of me - and I know you have a convertible. We could get scarves and pretend to be Thelma and Louise - LOL!
-
San Antonio would be closest for me (and my DH). I'm assuming that he can come along. We are joined at the hip, as they say. Love the SA RiverWalk. Of course, Austin has many good restaurants and music spots. Sometimes our job makes it impossible for us to get away, but you never know. Fingers crossed.
-
Ceeztheday - If I can get away for a weekend, so can you - LOL! Heck, I leave my DH at home so I can have a good time with the girls. To tell you the truth, he would rather stay at home and not be part of the "hen party." With as much time as we spend together, the break is nice.
-
I can just see Jo and Annette with scarves flying.
Jana
-
ok- san antonio....austin...does not matter...either way Jo and I can zoom around with scarves flying...now if we can just find our own brad pitt to stuff in the back:)
