(Sonant - advice for post-surgery: rest and don't overdo anything! Drink lots of water to flush out anesthesia. Eat nutritious food even though you don't have much of an appetite. Eat a little at a time, proteins and good carbs, your body needs fuel for the healing machine. Take pain pills on a regular basis - in other words don't wait until your pain gets out of control, if the bottle says 1 every 4-6 hours, do it even though you may not feel like you need it....at least for the first few days. And GOOD LUCK...hope everything goes very well and you're on the mend soon)
The next person is getting together with friends today (we're doing dinner and cards with friends)
-
we'll see lots of friends at the high school basketball games tonight
good luck Sonant....it will be a good thing to get over with. I think the waiting is the most awful part. Frozen peas make a great ice pack. I sleep in the recliner after any surgery. You can tilt in into a comfortble position, prop pillows around you & you can't accidently roll around. About the pain pills, they make me so horribly constipated....so just in case, have some Colace (or other stool softener) and prune juice available.
