Just got home from work and was hoping to see a message from Kate. Having been thinking of her...



OK day at work today. Our offices are quite stuffy so ended up having to take a Maxolon about mid-morning because I felt a little ill. Rest of the day went OK but today I feel like my brain and body are seperated somehow. Weird feeling...



My head is getting itchier and lots more strands fell today, although at least at work there's dark carpet around my desk so it wasn't obvious ;-)

Hi Ladies.

Well I have to say that as far as things go, that was a peice of cake. What on earth was I worried about? I didn't feel anything at all the entire time. I know that is probably only a couple of days away, but for the moment I am feeling terrific.

So much so, that I took my little support crew (daugher and SIL) out for a lovely counter lunch at an absolutely gorgeous old art deco sytle hotel and I even imbibed in my daily quota of alcohol.

So I am feeling quite cruizy...

Maybe this is the calm before the storm or maybe not. They gave me Emend to take for the next two days plus I had one before the infusion oh and I pee'd bright pink!

Hi Jenn. Go for the wine. You deserve it. I specifially asked the nurses if it could be counter productive with the chemo, and she said no not at all.

I only got the Emend. I have got my little card for the ED if I am in strife though to be given priority. I guess I will learn from this first one if I need more medicinal support.

Oh and I will be getting a port. She had a lot of trouble finding my vein and in the end the machine kept beeping and she said my vein was getting tired. I have the biggest bruise on the back of my hand too. So when I see my MO I am to ask him to organise a port.

Sorry about your hair Jenn. This lady came in for her chemo and she was as bald as a badger, and today was only her 3rd session. That was a bit confronting that it happens so early on.

Kate, good to hear that you are having no SE's as yet.  I get so cross when the docs take no notice when we ask for things aka port, extra meds etc and use the wait and see approach......... it,s about time they realised that all this crap does damage and do a port as a first step and trust us enough to take extra meds when needed and not abuse them.  I'm sure we are not going to fill a script if we didn't need it.

Well I now have another little pill to add to the collection.......yes, I now have a statin to try and control the cholesterol........thank you Femara!  I guess I shouldn't winge......lol........I am alive!

Coffee and a little sweet something and some good conversation. It's raining and storming here today and so Trish is going to be very challenged taking the wedding photos this afternoon!

Mornign glories! Well nonthing of signifciance to report at this stage. Probably the only thing was that I started to sweat proffously from my hair and head it was just pouring down, so I had to consutantly use a towel. Mind you it was very hot and muggy and everyone was perspiring a bit, but my sweating was over the top.

I had a great apeitite and at the BBQ and apart from my eyes getting gritty a couple time, that is all I can.

I have taken my emend this morning, and might not take the last tomorrow until after I see how I go. I want it up my sleeve in case I really need it.

 So all in all - I think I'm going goood~!

Whoo howw Jenn ! Glad you had such lovely way to end your week and that catching up with Thrisa must have been a treat.

Hey everyone i'm new to the site but i live in Adelaide . I am in the diagnosing stage really had a us and mam on fri but won't know the results till monday apart from being told they could see calcium but wasn't 100% sure.
