    I am two weeks out post BMX with TEs, and I am wearing my Genie bras at night for compression.

    I used to be a 38DD, and I actually got these bras (Size XL) pre BC dx. They work pretty well at night except for one thing - the band wants to curl up, and this places even more pressure around the IMF. Not pleasant!

    Maybe I need to get a 2XL!!!!

    Funny, the ads are always saying to match your clothing size and yet it seems most women feel the need to go up at least a size or two if not more.

    I got an Ah bra and I feel the same way -- the band rolls up at the bottom and I should have gone up 1 size. Otherwise they're comfy.

    Well, over the Christmas holiday, realized I had met my deductible for the year and with a much higher one in 2012, it became a now is the time moment.  I purchased my first forms in lightweight silicone, ABC1042 in size 4.  Found both the Ahh Bra (1 bra pkg) and the Genie Bra (2 bra pkg) at local Walgreens, same price of $19.99.  I wear a 36 bra, large (size 12) top, and it was an absolute necessity to go up to the XL/1X size in both.  Returned the Ahh and kept the Genie due to the pockets.  I did open the rest of the side seam of the pocket in order to make inserting the forms much easier. I pulled out their inserts - if anyone has a need for them, holler. The Genie seems to me to have a firmer feel than the Ahh bra.  The Genie is really good and comfortable for me but if I needed an even more gentle fit I would have gone to the Ahh.

    so interesting.. I think I will try a Genie.. size med.  What kind inserts do you all use for the missing boob (s).

    I had a BMX so I wear my lightweight silicone foobs on both sides.   It did cross my mind that the relatively thin inserts that come with the Genie might come in handy if someone needed just a little to smooth and or equalize the two sides.  With them being sold at Target, Walgreens and I think at Bed Bath & Beyond, it should make any returns easier.  The nice part about Target is you can try them right in the store.

    Happy New Year!!

    As I wore the Genie more I realized that the pocket goes clear through and if you are really active there is a tendency for the forms to shift to the center.

    I found a very easy fix.  There is a triangle of reinforcement in the center.  I counted down approx 7 lines from the top and tacked down the very end of each end of the line with a single 1/8" stitch gone over maybe 3 times in the same place and tied off.  Same thing, counted up approx 7 lines from the bottom and placed a tack stitch at each end of the line.  I wear a 36" bra and this put the "girls" at the perfect width on my chest.  For a person with different proportions, you could just move the tack stitch in or out to suit your frame and form size.

    BTW, don't try to be clever and use a sewing machine.  4 simple tack stitches with a needle and thread are all you need.

    I forgot to mention that I found it necessary to do the same thing with the Genie bra, using a simple tack stitch.

    I have the sticky adheasive Foobs by Amoena so this bra is perfect and confortable when I choose to wear them.I have them in every colour.

    Ladies:

    I tried the Ahh Bra and I LIKE it. It has extra padding for a more fuller look and feel. I wear mostly a support cami but on those days where a bra would look best it works. So I am sold customer. I will not be going back to a traditional bra unless I have to.

    FWIW, if anyone likes the super stretchy and easy feel of the Genie and Ahh, but cannot tolerate having to pull it on over their head or pull it up, I found a similar feel but with a back closure and adjustable straps from TLCDirect.org

    And no, I do not have any affiliation with this company whatsoever, but I do own this bra, which I actually prefer. TLC Direct is part of or related to the American Cancer Society.  The Genie and Ahh are far cheaper if you are able to deal with the pullover or pullup aspect and/or modifications to accomodate forms.

    Thanks, Barbara.  I had wondered about that TLC bra.  I prefer black or nude bras to white, however, and I wonder if they would consider adding colors.

    Dawn, I do like the Genies and wear them when I need the nude or black color.  I too wish the TLC bra came in more colors.  The cup size, maybe because it is so stretchy, tends to run big.  My 36A accommodates ABC size 5 forms very well.

    My Trulife size 5 forms have always been more like an A in my Amoena 36-B bras, but they work beautifully in the Genies.  I have worn them much more since getting Genies.  I really appreciate your info.

    Something I forgot to mention.  The fabric of the TLC bra is fairly see-through so if all you have on is the bra, you can see the forms through the bra.  I find the Genies to be opaque.

    This is the only bra that I have been wearing forthe past 4 months. Super comfortable and tons of support. I bought my first 2 at HSN or maybe it was QVC  , not sure but one of them. The next few that I bought came from BB&B and with a 20% off coupon I paid something like &16.00. They wash and dry in rthe dryer with no shrinkage though they do tend to run small. i had to go up from a large to and extra large.Really a great bra.
