Oops! I messed up and need advice

Talk about a mind-lapse! I had a physical fitness assessment at the health club where I work out today and they took my blood pressure in my arm that's at-risk for LE. They didn't ask and I didn't even think about it until I was coming home in the car. Now I'm panicked that in my efforts to be more healthy, through my absent-mindedness, I've done more harm than good.

Could any of you share what signs I need to be looking for or anything I should be doing (other than wake-up and pay attention)? Good news is that maybe I've crossed over into not thinking all day every day about BC.

Thanks in advance to anyone who is able to share advice or experiences.

Gabby, don't worry--the only signs to look for are aching, heaviness in the arm or any swelling. Drink a lot of fluids, take deep breaths, and if you're resting, elevate the arm on a pillow.

Totally know what you mean about thinking about bc all the time.

The good news is that you work out and are active!

Good for you for blanking out the bc! Go celebrate with something lusciously chocolate.Cool As I moved beyond bc treatment I had to get a medic-alert bracelet to remind myself not to let anybody use the arm. (And you thought they were for emergency medical personnel -- nah! They're for us!Laughing)

    Be well!

Thanks Kira and Binney - I'll take all of your advice to heart - including the part about the chocolate and new jewelry. Take care. Gabby
