ksmatthrew are you taking any of the hormonal drugs they can do that to you.
-
No I was TN so no meds for me. I am 6 months out from chemo. The nurse said my Dr would be in tomorrow and she would talk to her. Hopefully she calls and lets me know something. This sux!
-
ksmatthews sorry I did not even look at your diag. Hopefully the Dr. can help you out.
-
Ksmattews - I'm experiencing the same thing - very stiff if I'm in one position for too long. I'm attributing it to my chemo (TC) which did a number on my joints, and the colder weather. I plan on bringing it up with my PCP next week.
-
Sometimes it takes 1 to 2 yrs.for the chemo and/or rads to come out of your system.Be kind to yourself.Listen to your body. Its always talkin to you.
-
Ok Ladies - Next Weds the 18th at 3:15pm (pacific time) I need you in my pocket! I am going to meet a pain management doctor...
As I am preparing to go see him, I have noticed my pain ISN'T the breast as such, its the ribs and muscles behind the breast... The PCP has raised my gabapentin and the creapy crawlies in the breast is better but the ribs are still painful... Anyone else have this issue? I'm almost 6 months out of radiation.
-
gmafoley I did not have the rib pain but I had awful pectoral muscle pain. Just finish PT for it and wish I had done it 6 months before. I totally took care of the muslce pain. Now I still have some nerve damage but at least it is not agrivated by the muslce pain.

ks matthews: so sorry to hear about your recent loss, and yes, way too many people are passing away this year. I have a neighbor on my block, just diagnosed with bc in the summer, who passed away two days ago at 61. Did not know her well, but so sad nevertheless...
-
No one should be dying of this F-N disease! We declared war on Iraq when they killed 5,000 people here in the US. Spent trillions of dollars on it, yet this F-N disease is taking out 40,000 women a year, It's just so wrong. I say War on this pandemic is way over due!
-
Have completed rads so I will be stopping by here often. Looking forward to talking to you guys.
-
bgail----congrats on finishing the rads....YOU ARE DONE!!!!!!!!YAY.

gail Woohoo on finishing rads
ksmatthews so sorry for your loss.
Walley hope your friend can find a support group.
Had two good dr visits yeserday. Pain dr released me and MO is very supportive of my BMX since my last surgery to remove the B9 lump. Says my breast are too unpredictable. I have it scheduled for March 23 but may end up changing that date. He is also changing me from oral Fosomax to IV Reclast as there are studies to support it lowing recurrance rates in premenaupasal early stage BC. I told him since my onco score was in a grey area and I did not do chemo I want all the help I can get. If my insurance approves it I will get infusions every three months when i see him.
Also I asked my MO about the new study released about artery stenosis. He said it is very real for left breast rads. I asked him if the newer rads lowered that and he said not really. He explained that the arteries get inflammed. He said he has me on daily baby asprin because of high risk family cadiac issues and that the daily baby asprin will help reduce the risk of getting it but that it is always a possiblity. Great one more risk to have. Although he said my cholesteral is great and I exercise and eat right and keep my wieght low so he did not want me to spend time worring about it. Easier said than done.
-
Congratulations Gail on finishing rads!!
