play cards or play bingo
-
cards.......one time, I went to a bingo game at our church one evening - showed up without, what appeared to be required, a bag of playing chips, magic markers and little doodads to put around my space. I thought when you bought your cards, you rec'd chips to put on numbers. Anyway, the nice baba's around me helped me out with supplies and then had to help me check cards. I had the smallest number of cards, 15, and found out you have to quickly scan all 15 in 15 seconds. Yowza. Some gals had 45+ cards, some played without marking anything, just remembered the numbers and several had little bells they would ring when a number was called for the first time. I noted that many of these women probably could not cross the street by themselves but when it came to bingo, they were wizards. I was out of my field. I did, however, win a bingo.....found by a lady in front of me who kept turning around to check my cards...reading them upside down. My last bingo experience.
