there is a poster who really seems to struggle with this obsession that she has cancer when her tests came back negative....she obesses to the point that she thinks she has late stage cancer.

She keeps changing her screen name to make it seem like she is a different person...

It seems her challenge is more emotional than anything at this point.

Should we continue to enable her? Ignore her? etc etc.

I know her fears are very real for her. But she seems to want to be validate that she has cancer?

    Marie,

Unfortunately you know we can't control anyone's feelings -- especially the fear of cancer! Our advice to you is that if it bothers you, use the Ignore feature, read a different thread, or simply don't engage her. This is a place for all who are affected by breast cancer -- whether it be validated or not. We encourage you (and everyone) to be helpful and supportive of everyone posting here, even if you don't completely agree with their point of view.

Thank you for your concern. We hope this advice helps!

Marie ... I share your concern.  The danger is that we will end up feeding the fear and that only seems to make the situation worse.  I've had to just not comment on some threads.  Not a good solution but realistically after you have made some gentle suggestions there is nothing else you can do IMO.
