    Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts.  Thinking about it, I wonder if the place I'm going to even has a radiologist on site. I'll have to ask about that. I may change back to going to the hospital for mamo's in the future.  Don't like this call back stuff!!!!!!

    Spunky - Hope you get a low oncotype score. All my drs thought I would but I ended up being in the gray zone - so then all of a sudden it was my decision to do chemo or not. I felt like I was meeting with a financial planner when my MO asked me what my personal risk tolerance is :-(

    Spunky - imo...the stage 2 would be the reason for chemo since you didn't have +nodes and it's "only" a grade 1. ILC can be a little more aggressive, so maybe that will play in as well. You seem to be very borderline on whether chemo is necessary. I would imagine that's why they're doing tumor markers.

    ILC is definately not as common as IDC...

    Morning! 54 today! Woot!



    Spiny Lobster (aka Kelly, Spunkyboobster)...yay on gr 1 and neg nodes! Doing oncotyping is def. the way to go here, especially with ILC. Char gave an interesting insight tho...being a financial planner for your life. My only thoughts (and they are mine only) here are to remember you only get one FIRST chance to fight this beast and it might come down to you to decide what you can live with as to treatment. If you end up in a gray area, think it thru...do your research...come here and ask questions...then decide on how to proceed. AND NEVER LOOK BACK!

    I have my first MO appointment Thursday night and I will get my oncotype score as well. 

    I have my first RO appointment on Monday.   I am still thinking about a UMX or BMX so anxious to hear what the doctors have to say.

    Yay for low grades and negative nodes!

    Just came back from my port flush. Driving home it felt like early spring. No snow, wind temps already hit 41 in the city. This is awesome. I hope winter never comes although I do hear by Thursday…

    Lago--We will have to do another flashing in Feb.  You will have had your tatts by then, and I may have.  I have to meet with Dr. Fine end of Jan to get the green light. 

    If I get the green light, I will be getting tatts for my 40th birthday! 

    Does anyone here have a tattoo (pink ribbon other icon, et al) to symbolize their BC journey?  I have been daydreaming about getting one on my wrist or back of the neck.

    Corinne I get them a week from this Friday for my 51st birthday (little early but you know that).

    Don't get the ribbon tattoo. Get the bracelet instead.Tongue out

    Seriously tattoos are more permanent than kids! (Kids eventually move out). You can take the bracelet off. I have 2 giant boobie prizes to symbolize my journey! Wink (and the bracelet).

    Lago I agree with you.  I find it funny in a way we are told not to let breast cancer define us but then everyone wants to give you stuff with nothing but pink ribbons all over it!

    Hi all:

    One of our Illinois girls is hovering above troubled and worrisome waters...WendyTY.....

    Many of us us receive her Caring Bridge Blog.  Her cancer is seriously undermining her health,  but more alarming ......she is going though tangles with insurance.  I am simply enraged that this additional worry is put  upon her and her husband, Chris.  I ask all of us to pray that solutions are found for her and/or  that we all begin to grasp how the health insurance practices  in this country needs attention and that we can elect officials who can ensure  that Americans receive the health benefuts they  have the rights to.  Wendty has a right to receive health benefits/scans  that will enlighten her doctors on how to proceed with her cancer treatments.She has worked fundraisers so other women get care they need and that makes it all seem so unfair that she is now worrying about her own care.

    Please pray for our Illinois friend and for  solutions for her  insurance tangles.

    Morning! 50 today with sunshine. YAY!!!!



    Tomorrow thru Friday....winter storm advisory, anywhere from 3-8" of snow.



    Oh well...we knew it couldn't last but seriously??? 8"???? Putting gas on my list of things to p/u today for the snowblower...don't forget to gas up everything today and make sure you have ur snowbrush IN ur car (not the garage) and u have plenty of wiper fluid.



    Hope you all are doing well today....and if you are not, hugs going out with wishes for a better tomorrow (snow notwithstanding!)

    I'm about to go and have that nice last 50 till March walk. Looks like I'll be in the gym the next few days.

    Good morning....and guess I will chime in with I'm not lovin' it.  We are starting with rain, but sometime tonight ( if not sooner ) it will turn to snow.  Might not be much but can't help but think....here we go into winter.  I know the next three days are not going to be too hot.  Sigh !!!!

    English Major...I'm sure a great many here are thrilled to see that post you left. 

    WendyTY....love you and hang in there.  Always know there is someone way over in the corner cheering their heart out for you. 

    Ok. I'm off although not running to my rebounder.  Got to start making good on losing those pounds I picked up at the holiday season.  I'll be checking in with all of you later tonight.

    English Major, THANKS for posting that post.  This is something we all need to keep on hand as more and more we encounter people, including ourselves, who may have a tangle with insurance.  I do not know you, but I notice that you tend to jump in with HELPFUL information.  Thank you very much.  You are a very intuitive woman!

    Winter alert?  Yikes!  DH and I are heading to visit with his brother and SIL in Waterloo, Iowa. My SIL is dealing with cancer treatments for BC.  Too much of this stuff in our lives.

    I have a ribbon tattoo that I just got in September but for some reason I am unable to post a picture so I will have to provide a link for you to go to see it.  This link will take you to a photo album that also has some other design ideas as well.  I know that some people feel very strongly about the ribbon (on both sides of the spectrum) but I was proud to put this on the outside of my left ankle (bad breast side) to show that I survived through it!
