WOW you look great, I don't have a digital camera or I would try one myself. My hair is about 1/2 inch all over and came back 50 % grey and the other darker than I have ever had it. Looks almost a smoky color I have always been a lighter brown with just a few grey, So different, still waiting for facial hair

Terynsmom walk me through how to resize the picture. Thanks.

Debbie I am glad to put a face back on you, only seeing part of your head was a little strange. Your kids are sweet.

Sherry the facial hair is something I still have, arm hair

too although it is much thinner.

I have appointment for my markings on Wednesday. One more step closer to the end....

Amy I have some really wild bald photos too, would post them but afraid they'd get reposted around the world they are so funny.

    Fists up!

This is one of my favourite photos - it makes me smile so i thought i would share it with you all. As you are all my adoptive family meet Catherine 10 and Mark 8 - my reasons that i am going through this with a smile on my face and the knowledge that it isnt going to beat me!
Now that my hair is coming in i get the urge to go places with nothing on my head - is that weird? Still wear my scarf to work as i work at my kids school - think it might be harder for them to deal with the comments than me.
As for the kind comments - i realise that i will never be elfin like enough to suit cropped hair, thankgoodness it wasnt an expensive hairdressers mistake!!!!

Yesterday at church one of my friend's little 7-year-old boy said, "Is your hair ever going to grow back?" So, I took of my hat and showed him my head. His eyes got all big and I said, "Feel it. It's soft." He did that and started laughing. Made me feel good and a little sad at the same time. I have all kinds of crazy emotions these days. In my eyes, you all look beautiful . . . hair or no hair! I thought my hair was coming in all white but over the weekend I noticed darker patches. I hope I don't end up looking like a dalmation, with patches of white and dark.

Today was my last radiation day! I can't believe I am finally done!
Thank you, MaryAnn for the uploading directions and Terynsmom for the resizing website.

ooooooh, i love all that photo exchange business! so nice to be able to picture you all!

here is mine... as you can see the size of my nose doesnt allow me to go scarfless just yet... only at home and among friends. Its funny to see kids reactions, they are so honest, yet so accepting!

How all of our posts have changed - there seems to be a really positive vibe on the board now - its been lovely to see all of the pics of everyone. It proves we all have lives above and beyond cancer, it is not all encompassing, juat a part of us rather than all of us. i for one am glad it has given me the opportunity to meet you all.

OK inspired by all of you I went topless to a restaurant, actually started off in a wig. But decided to take it off. The poor waiter had just served the wigged me a Gin and tonic. Later came and asked if I would like a drink not realizing it was me again. LOL.

Ravdeb I am "beat to a snot too". A local expression meaning very tired. I tink it will take at least 4-5 weeks post chemo before we will feel somewhat better. Be sure you are checking your temp though as you could be getting sick. Remember what happened during AC.

The pictures are truely lovely. It is so nice to see all of you.

I have my planning for Rads tomorrow. Yeah, the final step.

Paula your nose is regal, take your wig off. Your hair is long...well compared to mine that is.

Going to have a couch day today, watch a movie and relax. Talk later.

    Fists up!

    Hi Ladies!

I love all the pics and the fun posts! Isn't it great that we are all finding our lives again after this battle?

Paula, you are beautiful, I think it is time that you went topless!

Deb and Mary Anne great job on going topless!

Graycie I am still too bald too, but my hair growing back is light brown so that is going to take a while longer to cover my head. It is growing pretty good on the top, but not much on the sides yet. I think I am going to have to sport the mohawk look!! I would rather be a dalmation!

    Have a good day everyone!

so weird how our hair is growing back...i'm thin on top and thick on the sides. wish it were the other way around.

mary-anne...congrats on going topless...what a funny story! i went to work topless yesterday and actually had a patient of mine rub my head as soon as she saw me. took me by surprise but it was funny

for those finishing chemo now...it took me about 3-4 weeks to feel like myself again. all of a sudden, i woke up and felt great. you will get there. all of my family and friends are telling me now how good i look...they told me that i really had no color in my face during chemo, looked puffy from the steroids, and mainly looked exhausted. i didn't realize how sick i looked. even some of my patients are telling me they think i look really healthy. all of a sudden, you'll wake up with more energy and color in your cheeks and feel somewhat like yourself again. that is truly a great day

also...for those starting rads...it didn't seem nearly as bad as i thought it would be. it went by sooooo fast. i was tired a lot, but nothing like chemo. it'll be over soon!

My daughter uttered a sentence today that sounded so good. I came in from work, took my wig off and heard
" Your hairs a mess at the back mum"
    Hurray!!!!!!!!!!

Paula, you need to go scarfless, you look beautiful but then your scarf looks gorgeous too!!

That is one of my wigs!! I have 6 of them. That one is my dad's favorite and he was the photographer, so his choice of hair for the day.
