A little funny....about BMX
After my BMX last year, I made a joke with my hubby. Whenever my nipples should have been hard, I would say...."some where in a jar my nipples are hard."
This morning, I was getting ready. I forgot something I needed, walked barechested through the kitchen where he was at. I have been keeping the house at 61-63 degrees because of my darn hot flushes. He asked, "aren't you cold?" I looked down and said, "yes, can't you tell? My nipples are hard!" He laughed cuz he knew what was coming...."oh that's right, I don't have any!!! somewhere in a jar...."
I apologize if you don't see the humor in it. But, if there is one person who does, well, then it was worth sharing.
Please feel free to add your own funny stories from your life!!!
We often talk about all the negatives, why not start a thread for funny stuff?
Thanks.

I say funny!
This summer we were camping Dh the two boys ages 1 1/2 and three and we were at a friends camp site and ready to head back to ours to get dinner going. Dh and I were searching the campsite for our youngest sons pacifier. After over a half hour we were ready to give up- at least for the moment- we would NEED it for bedtime, we had already lost the spare. As we go to climb on our bikes I put my head down to line up the peddles- whatever and saw it in my bathing suit top, tucked into the side. I yelled I have the Pass! He turns to me like I am nuts, where? I took it out of my top and showed him. He says- you have got to be kidding me! How can you not know it was in there? We've been looking forever! My response was "hello? I have no sensation in my chest!!!!" he looks at be and says- sorry- I forgot- I told him it's ok, obviously I did too
-
Thanks for the chuckles, ladies!!
-
Hilarious Laurie!! Too funny with all that searching that it was in your chest the whole time and couldn't feel it!!!

DH was diagnosed w/cancer yrs ago. Then came my turn last yr. I knew he was not dealing with my diagnosis so well and I wanted to lighten the mood. One nite I said to him "Finally! Now we have something in common. After 14 yrs I was running out of things to talk to you about." It was the first of many jokes revolving around BC/BMX etc. Got some good material out of this.

The other day my DD and I were watching TV together and she started comlaining about her bra strap I told her to take it off. She said Mom are you kidding some of us don't want our boobs to sag - oooh sorry and then giggled. Brat lol

When I was considering DIEP, my DH, DD and I were talking about various aspects of it. Then I said, "There's one thing I didn't ask". DH asked, "What?" DD and I said, at the same time, "When I'm hungry, will my boobs grumble?"

love this! Sometimes you have to laugh at the whole thing, it pushes you through. Since this summer, if my husband has misplaced anything, he asks me, do you have it? I always respond, I'm not sure....

My supervisor at work is a very nice, sympathetic man who is a little like Felix Unger. About two months after my BMX (and I had very large breasts), we were talking about health things in general. He puffs up proudly and says, "In the last nine months, I lost 17 pounds!" I said, "Really? Well, I lost 10 pounds in one day!" At first he look at me incredulously, and then it dawned on him just HOW I lost those 10 lbs.! He turned red, stuttered a little, and made a fast exit out of my office! LOL! I just love tormenting that man!

Thanks for the laughs--you just have to.

my DH came up from behind me and reached for my breasts during a tender moment...and we both cracked up laughing when his hands came up empty. I like that he...forgot and saw me as who I always have been.
It is good to begin to find humor in this, just a few weeks ago this would have dissolved me into tears and now I am able to laugh.
Very healing!!!!

Many times since my BMX I have walked outside when it was cooler and caught myself thinking, "Oh, I hope I'm not "nipping out"......" It always gives me a chuckle when I remember that it is no longer an issue.

Great stories ladies.
I needed laughs today.

Thanks for the laughs!! Oh I laughed so hard this afternoon. My hubby wanted to know what was so funny, so I shared your stories. He thought they were so funny! He was laughing, too!!
-
My husband and I have very 'sick" humor! Not long ago I was leaning over behind him as he worked at the computer and after awhile was surprised to notice that I was there. I remarked "what, couldn't you feel me rubbing my chest on you?" We both laughed and wondered where exactly my breasts were.
When my husband turned 40 a couple years ago he was dejected that his youthful body was gone. Looking in the mirror, he states "Look, I have old man chest"! I responded with "Wish I could feel bad for you, but at least you have a chest!"
-
These stories are great! Thanks so much. My husband likes to call me his "flapper girl" after the women in the 20s who were so fashionably flat. It really is a compliment, as he finally admitted after I had my implants removed and deconstructed, that I look more like my old self and that he prefers it. I already feel confident in my flatness, but knowing that he thinks I look good is a nice bonus. Now, does anyone know where I can find one of those fringe dresses??
Hey, I went to Charleston for my deconstruction! Now I need to learn those dance steps! LOL!

I figure there has been at least a couple of time that somewhere in a jar, far, far away, my nipples are enjoying an orgasm!!!!
-
My husband and I were driving home after seeing the surgeon and deciding on a bmx. I was feeling overwhelmed and he could tell I was about to lose my composure. He turned and looked at me seriously and said, "Is there something you need to get off your chest?". I busted up laughing and felt so much better.
-
I love this humor!!!
The flapper girl made me smile, interesting too because I just got my hair cut like a flapper girl!!
And the flapper fringe in the right places would be so much fun :-)
I never really thought about my nipples having orgasms without me, but why not? I hope they are going for it somewhere ....too funny.
And "get it off your chest" is a riot, priceless!

When I have a "phantom nipple itch" I just reach over and scratch my BF's nipple. Makes me feel better and always makes us chuckle. I am so glad to see that I'm not the only one with a sense of humor about this. It's one thing they can't cut off!!!
-
Gee this is so funny I just have to say
RFLMBO = rolling on the floor laughing my boobs off--OOPS, they are already OFF!!

-
I am on a board and am president of a club and I say to them--
Please keep me ABREAST of this
it takes them a few seconds to laugh...
-
Cari-Anne!! That is a riot..mind if I steal that one!!!
Quaatsi, that si too funny!! Glad to see you can share humor about breast cancer with everyone!!!
-
Binney, thank you for that link.
Cari-Anne - Yes, our sense of humor is one thing they can't take from us! LOL about the phantom itch!
These posts brighten my day!

So I figured out what this thread was about, but couldn't figure out what it had to do with a bicycle. You know BMX bike?!
Well last night during my midnight bathroom trip, being less than awake, I had a revelation, BMX= bilateral mastectomy! I laughed so hard that I thought I was going to wake the whole house
! Even after I had calmed myself and crawled back into bed I couldn't stop giggling. Good thing my husband sleeps soundly!
Thanks alot ladies! Took me forever to get back to sleep! Totally worth it
-
Funny... When I first got on these forums, I too wondered how people could be talking about bikes all the time... I looked it up and Laughed My Boobs Off.... no need for surgery!
-
Last night I was tAaking to my manager and I saw he had a couple of company golf shirts on his desk. He asked if I wanted one and I asked what size? He said medium and I said sure now that I have no boobs a medium should fit
-
Ressie - I've found that shirts that I felt were becoming too tight fit just fine now! I've been gaining weight over the past year and this is one of the few "perks" I've found since having my BMX. My sister and I have been doing a weight loss contest and we've had a few chuckles about how I cheated by having quick weight-loss procedure done.
