New Year Resolutions for Pets
15. I will not eat other animals' poop.
14. I will not lick my human's face after eating animal poop.
13. I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table.
12. My head does not belong in the refrigerator.
11. I will no longer be beholden to the sound of the can opener.
10. Cats: Circulate a petition that sleeping become a juried competition in major animal shows.
9. Come to understand that cats are from Venus; dogs are from Mars.
8. Take time from busy schedule to stop and smell the behinds.
7. Hamster: Don't let them figure out I'm just a rat on steroids, or they'll flush me!
6. Get a bite in on that freak who gives me that shot every year.
5. Grow opposable thumb; break into pantry; decide for MYSELF how much food is *too* much.
4. Cats: Use new living room sofa as scratching post.
3. January 1st: Kill the sock! Must kill the sock!
January 2nd - December 31: Re-live victory over the sock.
2. The garbage collector is NOT stealing our stuff.
AND the Number 1 New Year's Resolutions Made by Pets...
1. I will NOT chase the stick until I see it LEAVE THE IDIOT'S HAND
To kick start my New Year, I took an IQ test and the results were negative. -
My favorite blessing for all of you special ladies:
-
GOODBYE 2011!! HELLO 2012!!! Here's to a better year for all of us!!
-
Ann Landers
Let this coming year be better than all the others. Vow to do some of the things you've always wanted to do but couldn't find the time. Call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Vow not to make a promise you don't think you can keep. Walk tall, and smile more. You'll look ten years younger. Don't be afraid to say, 'I love you'. Say it again. They are the sweetest words in the world. -
How's my hair?
-
So adorable, Merilee!! Love it!
-
Adorably cute, but not quite fluffy enough! I have more like this amount of fluff:
-
And here is the human version!
if you cut off all of the hair in the back and on the side, it looks a lot like my own hair now, if I try to straighten it.
-
(Love her lack of eyelashes, too - I can relate!)
-
And that pale half dead look....so familiar LOL

Entertainment Night - Top Of The Bill a leading hypnotist.
Claude the hypnotist explained: "I'm here to put you into a trance;I intend to hypnotise each and every member of the audience."
The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique
pocket watch from his coat."I want each of you to keep your eyes on this antique watch. It's a very
special watch. It's been in my family for six generations."
He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting,
"Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch..."The crowd became mesmerised as the watch swayed back and forth, light
gleaming off its polished surface.A hundred pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch until, suddenly, the
chain broke; it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor,
breaking into a hundred pieces."SHIT!" said the hypnotist.
It took three days to clean up the Senior Citizens Centre.Claude was never invited back

Thanks for the laugh, BernieEllen. You are a treasure.

ROTFL I am cracking up at both of those. That hair, that hair!
Our oncologists should change their marketing strategy. Imagine if they hung out a shingle for their hair transformation services, like this:
-
HAHA those hair pictures are too funny! I haven't posted in awhile....I needed a breast cancer break! I had my mammo and PET scan and everything came out clear! I did have half my thyroid removed Dec 3rd. On my first PET scan they saw a nodule. The biopsy came back inconclusive so we decided to take it out. It came back benign! I'll be starting my 5 year anti hormone plan in the next couple weeks. Has anyone started theirs yet?
-
Axtella you look great!
I am on the generic Arimidex. It was rough for the firs 4 weeks but I seem to have adjusted and am doing quite well with it. I only take 1/2 dose but so far so good.

A man named Bill woke up on his birthday. His wife and kids didn't even say good morning to him. So, he left for work in a huff. His receptionist, Joanna, said happy birthday. "Thanks, Joanna. That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all day." Bill relied, pleased. So he worked until his lunch break, when Joanna asked if he fancied a lunch. Instead of taking their usual lunch just outside, they went to a big beautiful bistro. " My apartment is just around the corner. Would you like to visit?" Joanna asked. "Sure, why not?" Bill replied. At her apartment, Bill sat down on the couch. Joanna said she'd be right back and stepped into the bedroom. Minutes later, she came back out followed by Bills family, friends, and co-workers. Bill just sat there... naked.

Hi everyone! Just a quick question. I have a followup appoinment with my MO in two weeks, and he has scheduled a chest x-ray. Anyone know why? Just looking for anything? He has also scheduled the usual lab work and a bone density test.
Thanks, Jane
-
Hi, Jane: I wish I could tell you, but you're miles ahead of me, since I'm still getting treatment. (Rads.) I haven't gotten any followup yet. Even when they were scanning me for possible mets, right after my surgery, they didn't do a chest x-ray, they did a CAT scan. So I wonder if the X-ray thing has to do with your breasts, rather than your lungs?
-
I am proud to announce that I have only 2 radiation treatments to go, then five boosts to my mastectomy scar, and then I will be done with rads!!
Is anyone else on this thread still in active treatment? If so, what are you gals still doing and what are your completion dates?
I finish rads Jan 23, then I finish TDM1 (Herceptin) in June.
It's weird to have my one-year anniversary/cancerversary happening now. It was this time last year I got my mammogram. It's hard to "re-live" it all now, a year later, and see how much I have changed and my life has changed.
-
Yay for you Windlass. I'm so pleased you are nearing the end of rads!
I have an appointment scheduled with my onc for February to discuss next steps - if any. I've been taking Tamoxifen now for 3 months and am definitely finding the hot flushes and night sweats the worst part! -
Brilliant Windlass, now take time to pamper yourself - you deserve it
-
Sweetcorn- I get a chest x-ray every 6 months. Standard protocol.
Windlass- Hang in there, you are so close. Try to celebrate that one year anniversary. I know it is easy to start thinking about all you have been through but your energy is much better spent thinking of the future rather than the past. I do it too, it is part of the PTSD to relive and relive the trauma over and over again in my head. Your treatment seems to be successful, that is so wonderful.
The only treatment I am on now is the hormone suppressor. An important part of my treatment as my tumor was 98% +. It was rough at first but now I seem to be doing much better on it. Still only on half a dose as I don't like the one size fits all thing. I am only 115 lbs.

-
Merilee--Thanks for your answer, and Windlass, I am also at that Cancerversary stage. What a year it has been.
Jane
-
sweetcorn, Wishing you continued good health and hoping the years ahead will be very good to you.
-
Thanks, Elizabeth. Same to you!! and all of us on this journey!!
Jane
