Problem with Juzo custom order.

I have had a few problems in the past with the fit of custom sleeves from Juzo but have been happy with them in the end. One order took three attempts before they got it right. Each time I was told they were having problems programming the machines.

Two months ago I was measured and ordered a new sleeve. It had to be sent back and I am still waiting for a remake. This sleeve visibly wasn't even the correct shape in the wrist area when laid on a flat surface. The reason given is they are now being manufactured in the States. (I don't know if Germany is still making them or not). And you guessed it, they are having problems programming the machines. And actually this last sleeve had a "Made in Germany" on the tag so I can only assume that's where it came from. Although the last I was told they were manufactured in the States.

When I get sleeves from Juzo that fit properly I've been really pleased with them. But they seem to have repeated problems making custom fits..

My fitter is most helpful and has been talking to a Juzo Rep. Hopefully this gets sorted soon and like the rest of my sleeves I'll be happy with it in the end.

In talking behind the scenes to a couple of friends here on the boards we thought it was a good idea to at least put this information out there. It might be helpful if anyone is thinking about ordering a custom sleeve at the moment or having problems getting a proper custom fit from Juzo. You are not alone.

Gentle hugs all.

Edit to add an update.  A week ago (Jan.16th) my remake finally arrived and it fits.

Thanks Sharon, I get custom Juzo gloves, and I'll be sure to check in with the fitter and the Juzo rep.

My LE therapist has her own Juzo account, and she's been having all sorts of issues with leg garments.

They used the machine excuse on me a couple of years ago, as to why it took 5 takes to get the right glove.

Then we sent in the same measurements, and one glove was fine the other had a HUGE wrist.

    So upsetting and annoying.

Just wanted to add a comment..................I had the same problem with a Jobst sleeve.........2 attempts to get it right...........stated in July, 2011, and was still going on 2 weeks ago..............finally got a ready made sleeve that is working fine...............my LE person got so fed up with it, she said we would try "ready made"..................so far it seems to be working..............................what is with these people that they can't get it right.........................The one I have now seems to be doing the job.........even the "ready made" in the heavyweight material hurt my arm, and stopped the circulation............my LE person said, I could not tolerate the heavier fabric, so that is why we went to  a different type of material.

Not sure what is right, and it is very depressing.................hopefully this one is ok.

Ducky, that's unbelievable.  But sadly I know it's true.  Why do these companies offer custom fits if they can't deliver?  I hope we both get sorted to our delight very soon.

    Hugs.

Sharon, I emailed the local Juzo rep with your post (I didn't share any identifying info), and hopefully he'll have some answers.

Kira, thank you so much for doing that.  I'm interested to hear his reply.  Hopefully he does reply.

    Thanks again.
